‘Boy in the Box’ Cold Case Victim Identified After 65 Years
Joseph Augustus Zarelli was the "Boy in the Box" victim whom Philadelphia detectives identified. Investigators have been perplexed by this cold case for 65 years. On February 25, 1957, a four-year-old child from Philadelphia was discovered dead inside a cardboard box, having been beaten. Through DNA analysis, investigators were able to confirm his identity.
