Finally they mention Capone's syphilis, though I am disappointed that they still haven't discussed the fact that he already had brain deterioration because of his neurosyphilis by the time he was in that penitentiary...you know, which often causes illnesses like dementia that can give people hallucinations.

Ive used a spirit box before and ive seen others use it and it's rarely as clear as it was in that episode. In places not haunted it will go on for hours without making any noise other than its usual white noise. Definitely very interesting
@withthet10654 жыл бұрын
It’s interesting that you say that. I’m usually skeptical of spirit box noises but I’ve worked at that prison for 2 years now and can confirm that it is indeed haunted. I myself and multiple of my coworkers see ghosts somewhat frequently there and some of them so frequently that they have been named because so many people see them all the time.

Kind a #Shaniac here (but I like to believe in a spiritual world) but I also like the idea of not putting a subtitle to what Ryan thinks the ghosts are saying, because the power of belief is a very persuasive thing. I usually just don't look at the screen and try to hear the word or phrase rather than looking, but I have to say, the last episode was the most convincing one yet.
@katakatsuki34667 жыл бұрын
True! I think it would be much more convincing because, with some of them, I can easily hear what they hear (without subtitles), but other times, I can only hear it after they have the subtitles. It would also make the ones that are easily heard more convincing.

Can't agree with you more. Hope they see this and maybe put like an option for captions and see what the viewers think too :)
@jordynm.73047 жыл бұрын
Kiki A I'd think I'm a Boogara not because I'm a firm believer in ghosts, but because my mind is open to the fact that maybe there are some things that can't be explained just yet. But just because we can't explain or comprehend it doesn't mean it's not real. I can't wrap my head around how a spirit would come to exist or what happens after death, but there's always a possibility that something's living beyond the sight of the naked eye
@kiks3137 жыл бұрын
Jordyn M. I’m from a culture where we believe in spirits, both good and bad. Though I’ve never experienced anything myself, I think it’s always good to keep an open mind. :)
@jordynm.73047 жыл бұрын
Kiki A Definitely. There's a world that exists beyond human comprehension, and it exists whether or not we can understand how it works. We've only explored less than five percent of our oceans, but the undiscovered animals don't give a shit if we know about them or not. A human eye could never fall upon them in their entire lives, but that doesn't mean they aren't real

Is no one going to address the footsteps?? That was pretty convincing evidence.
@BlackCroft6667 жыл бұрын
I think if the footsteps weren't caused by some human it was para psychology which means the subconscious of the people caused the sound effects due to the knowledge of the harsh history and expectations.

Honestly, I'm afraid of ghosts but only b/c no one TRULY knows if they're real and what they could do. I guess I'm scared of the unknown? Anyway, I feel like if was gonna go ghost hunting, I'd wanna go with Shane b/c he'd make me feel so much better with his calm and logical explanation for everything. Rather than Ryan's freak out over everything
@gothsharpayevans7 жыл бұрын
So, the spirit box seems to really be a perspective despite the fact that I really don’t think it’s possible that snippets of songs, radio hosts, and podcasts collectively could really stitch together to create anything as intelligible as we heard.
@knutemotorsport7 жыл бұрын
Considering we didn't hear anything even remotely intelligible, I think it's a pretty safe assumption that all we heard were fragments of local radio stations. If Ryan didn't tell his audience what to listen for and bait them with subtitles, nobody would think twice about those short, choppy, monosyllabic background noises, let alone piece together any words in the english language. Besides, who just woke up one day and decided that ghosts can communicate via radio frequencies? Humans can't do that, so why can ghosts all of a sudden? Sounds like a BS story to excuse the lack of activity whenever ghost hunters don't hear voices. And even if we humor that ridiculous assumption and use specialized EVP equipment, we STILL end up with the same incoherent, inconsistent, and garbled responses as before. Don't you think its suspiciously convenient that the ghost box literally scans for radio signals, allowing believers to attribute any fragmented transmissions as ghosts voices, even though they're obviously just radio snippets of transmissions from strong/clear local channels?
@princesspeasant45367 жыл бұрын
I was busy getting ready for work when I had the video playing, I wasn't even looking at the screen so I couldn't be "baited" by subtitles, and I understood each and every response. Clear as day. Not to mention the statistic improbability that 21 stations would suddenly work together to create the same voice and speed saying clearly intelligible words and ONLY after they asked a question and not at any other time is actually laughable. You'd be more likely to win the lottery multiple times before stumbling upon this unlikely response multiple times at the exact right moments.

@JD-Media7 жыл бұрын
There was no real compelling evidence, the science of the ghost box doesn't really work. It's just picking up random signals and mashing them together quickly to form words, nothing paranormal about it.

It is a known fact that psychologically, if you give an interpretation from sound, people will hear what you think. However, in all of those EVPs, I hear the same thing before you guys say it. I've had many paranormal experiences in my life. The one thing though, is that with the lights and electronics used, you won't get as many experiences because spirits are energy. This is why they are out in the dark. I spoke to many parapsychologists in england and they explained this. I'd be very curious if you guys used a ouija board to see what you got--but be careful, they aren't toys.
