Ezmyrelda Andrade The thing is, drag queens, cross dressers all have a right to exist. Of course transphobic comments shouldn't be acceptable and putting down transgendered people is of course wrong. But regarding drag and cross dressing male lifestyles... you can't stop people from being who they want to be, the way you want to be who you want to be. If a man likes dressing like a woman he has every right to be a cross dresser. People who don't understand the difference between cross dressing and transgendered need educating on the subject, and making people stop doing drag or cross dressing is not the answer. You can't stop drag/cross dressers from doing them just because you fear a transgender will be lumped with their group. I remember seeing Chris Crockers video on feminine gays, and how butcher gays sometimes have prejudice against the more feminine boys who share their sexuality, because they feel they are making gay people an embarrassment. But making somebody stop being who they are because you don't want to be associated with them is not the answer and viewing people as individuals is an important step. The world isn't as clear cut as a male has to be a certain way, and a female the other. There are other ways to show people that transgendered people aren't drag queens or cross dressers, and banning them is not the answer in my opinion. There should be more movies, documentaries, even blogs to showcase the messages. Instead of going after drag queens who have done alot for people, create empowering messages. Right now there are transgendered activists in the public eye, Janet Mock and just these past couple of days Lavern Cox has made the top of Times 100s readers list. Things will change and more people will open their minds and learn. And the few who associate transgendered people with drag queens will either learn or stay ignorant... and those who stay ignorant?! More fool them for being closed minded.

Ezmyrelda Andrade RPDR isn't meant to represent trans-women. It's a show about drag queens. I don't know why you think he claims to represent or speak for trans-women through his personal appearances or the direction of his show. That being said, RPDR has supported queens like Sonique, Carmen, and Monica in their journeys and I think attacking Ru is a huge insult to their experiences on the show. If you don't want to identify with drag queens, then don't identify with them. It's that simple. Nobody's telling you that you need to behave like a drag queen simply because you're a trans-woman. Drag queens don't, in my opinion, strive for equal rights as much as they empower gay men to embrace their femininity. In a masculine-driven world, gay men are often at a loss for ways to express their gender identities and sexuality. Speaking from personal experience, drag queens have given me confidence to embrace all sides of my gender. Regardless of your opinion, though, you need to approach the topic with a bit more diplomacy. Saying "fuck drag queens" or "eat a dick" isn't going to persuade anybody to consider your cause. On a side note, telling somebody to "eat a dick" is not only perpetuating the myth that femininity needs to correlate with submissiveness but also hinting at your ignorance and frustration. Please remain respectful. It will only help your pursuit, and I really do hope you find peace with the subject in some way.
