LUKA & SARA …. Just thinking out loud! why not put your gazebo directly outside the stone house as an extension that will provide you a nice cool space (you can add a small a/c unit and it’s enclosed to store your table and chairs). That will be a safe cool space that Luce and mama/baby can chill and sleep you do want to renovate your small stone house If your doing all that work anyway why not. I know there’s stuff inside the stone shed that you use for the olive harvest but that can go under the trees and tied down with a tarp I promise. Easy with help from friends to pour a concrete pad with rebar and plug all the holes and insulate the roof.

That’s wonderful. A little baby Sister for Luce to look after. Congratulations. The pear tree is a wonder, I love pears. I remember my husband and I putting up a gazebo once and ended up in helpless laughter trying to read the instructions we were crying with laughter and had to stop for a while and have a drink and a sit down then finally put it up in the dark with torches.

I believe that it's important to learn girls what's traditionally has been mens activities / work. So bring your girls with you and do what you would have done as if they were boys. I'm thrilled you're having another baby girl; the most important thing is that she's healthy. I was concerned watching Luka struggling with the large and heavy rock that he found while clearing the area for the gazebo. Please please please...all of you should be wearing hats in the hot Sicilian summer sun!!!! And you should be drinking ALOT of water. That's very important for the 4 of you. Fabulous girls can (like me) fly airplanes, ride dirt bikes (I rode a Husqvarna 430), mechanic (I rebuilt my own Cessna Aerobat), and build/do construction and welding. Engineering, and metalsmithing, and occasionally, I'm still a chef, fisher and cutter. Girls can kick butt in sports and anything else, just like boys can! Sooo happy for you 4!
