What are the chances that the brother of this California Scouter lives just a few miles from my warehouse? This guy was very active in the Order of the Arrow growing up in the golden state back in the late 1960s and early 1970s. Like me as a teenager he fell in love with trading patches and his amazing campfire blanket is a testament to those adventures. I was so happy to be able to connect with him and hear his story from 50+ years ago. He allowed me to purchase his collection and get these items back into the hobby. The campfire blanket will become part of my permanent collection and will be on display at some Scouting events coming up that I am attending. I think these items are a little piece of history and I'm happy to share them with the viewers on KZbin and with Scouts and Scouters in person at events.
