I saw this film twice in the cinema & now I have lost count of the amount of times I've watched it since purchasing it for streaming on Apple TV. I heard that they will not be releasing a disc, but if they ever do I will definitely be buying it. There are certain films that have had a profound impact on me over the years & this is the the most recent one. I love watching Andrew Scott, Paul Mescal & Andrew Haigh talking about this film so I appreciate this video immensely. Thank you for posting 😊

Another fine interview due to insightful questions and Andrew Scott’s thoughtful and considered answers. I love the adjectives he often uses…extraordinary, tender, beautiful, sensual…he has an emotional intelligence that invites you into the characters play. 🐑🐑🇳🇿🇳🇿NZ

I was very moved by this film…..until the end. I didn’t think it was cruel, I thought it was manipulative and didn’t follow the trajectory of the story. In the original book, Adam does indeed communicate with ghosts, so that didn’t require much of a leap of faith. But his parents specifically say that they must break off communication so that Adam can moved forward in his relationship with Harry. And then we discover that Harry has been dead all along. Was he ever real? Was he a figment of Adam’s imagination? Is the final shot a “Tristan and Isolde” moment, whereby their souls merge in heaven? This interview confused me even more than I had been. In various interviews, the director and actors have been coy about revealing their own thoughts. “It’s open to interpretation.” Well, give me some facts that I can interpret.
