The idea to turn the switch into a fencepost was brilliant. It feels almost like those secret levers in old mansions.
@KeysoftheLord Жыл бұрын
And when flipped back it looks like it broke during the attack (or its just old and falling apart).
@isaknilsson71 Жыл бұрын
Would have loved it even more flipped around such that the light is off when the post is askew. Then, an unknowing person trying to ”fix” it back in place could be surprised by the fire lighting up XD

I would suggest dropping the rails down at the switch end of the fence so it doesn't look like they're floating when it's switched on. Excellent piece of art regardless 👍

The dragon being kept aloft by his own flames might be the single most impressive effect you've created yet, and the fence-post switch is so clever I almost can't believe it! Incredible stuff!
@LOVEMUFFIN_official Жыл бұрын
Not to mention that this is, by far and away, his best flame effect implementation yet.
@SlartiMarvinbartfast Жыл бұрын
And to add to that, the effect still looks nearly as great when the LED filaments are switched off, such is the high quality of the painting on the smoke.

“This dragon hates merriment”. Well, then this dragon hates how I feel every time I watch a Boylei video! This collaboration is incredibly cool, and the dragon fire is straight up 🔥! Love this!!!
@mistac5050 Жыл бұрын
With as epic as this build is, the thing that I enjoyed the most was watching you turn on the lights at the end by gently moving the fence post. Could this be the beginning of "Crazy Imaginary Medieval Town"?!?! A man can dream.

Others may thing I'm exaggerating, but I'm always left speechless seeing the end-result of your diorama... Amazing as always and so satisfying to watch.

Using the fire to hold the dragon up reminds me of those “magic” water faucets that look like they’re pouring water with no plumbing. Elegantly done as always. Gotta admire the little motley crew defending their favorite watering hole. A good inn is worth its weight in gold.

That dragon model has a special place in my heart! When I told my husband I wanted to get into painting minis with him (he was already interested in this stuff, and I showed him your videos. Turns out he was already a fan of yours!), he got that for the both of us to paint together. It took two years to find the color scheme that we both liked (my mind kept changing what colors I thought looked good) but we finally settled with a black dragon, with the wings and frills being this cool color-changing pigment of blue and purple. That dragon is on our shelf now, with our diorama projects. Thank you for all the lovely videos! Without them, I wouldn't have told my husband that I wanted to share in his hobbies in the first place.

Fantastic job. Such a cool build. The hidden fence post switch was genius. One step further would have been to make the two horizontal fence planks that connect to the switch post movable. Pivotable? Is that a word? lol My thinking is when the switch is upright, the horizontal planks remain how they are in the build. But when the switch is on, and the post is angled, the horizontal planks can be made to rest on the ground as if they actually fell off on that end, due to the post being ajar. If that makes sense. Either way, beautiful work as always!

I've been watching your channel for quite some time now and it inspired me to get into my own crafting stuff (i still kinda suck and don't have much space for a setup but I've been 3d printing and painting. I know you like your western themes, but I would love to see you really do an underwater themed thing, ideally with resin. Your ability to create a story combined with your practical skills could be an awesome creation. I know you've made water based things before, like the watering hole from your western, but maybe a flooded swamp with dangers underneath or fantasy themed would be great.

from the thumbnail I was sure that there would be barely-there fishing line or something suspending the dragon in place - it's absolutely incredible how it is suspended by the fire it's breathing! and my mom does needle felting, I never even thought of using those needles for something like this. It turned out so amazing! I'm also *so* charmed by the fencepost switch, that's so cute.
