All of this is about how Caleb and Ross were raised. Cassandra felt as though boys shouldn’t be crying after her husband Joanna passed away. The reason why is because Joanna had many panic attacks which caused him to cry almost everyday. He had these said panic attacks because of the army, he coped with alcohol which just made him black out. Cassandra had moved out of the house because she couldn’t stand to see the place where Joanna would have these attacks most commonly. She just left both her sons there, especially since Ross was already an adult. Ross thought that boys weren’t allowed to cry because of her, so he said the same thing to his little brother Caleb.

No men should feel bad for showing human emotions nor should they feel like they shouldn't because that makes them less of a man showing emotions and being who you are makes you greater then what others force you to be. If I ever saw my male friends upset I would definitely want to be there for them why should I care about them being male or any other gender just care for each other

I agree with you completely, it’s just sometimes people will say men are not allowed to feel certain emotions, and that’s what I wanted to show in this video. Their mother didn’t want to see her boys crying like their father did so she told them “boys are not allowed to feel sad.” Another reason why I even made this is because one of my male friends had said before men shouldn’t show emotion, it makes them less of a man. It truly broke my heart when he had said this for he genuinely was such a kind and lovable person. I’d never want to hear a man, or anyone say “It’d make me less of a person to feel emotion.” It genuinely is a situation that doesn’t get brought up as much.

Like seriously, it’s generally so sad that society says these things. Everyone should be allowed to feel/do things it shouldn’t be gender specific. Then also the people who don’t believe in this, they end up being apart of it just because of society.

I relate a lot to this song, not that I'm a boy but I always grew up thinking it would be easier for everyone else if I didn't tell them when I was feeling sad. This ended up terribly because yesterday I lost my girlfriend and best friend because I was too stupid to talk when I should have. (Didn't hurt anyone physically, just arguments)

I agree, the only reason why Ross, and Caleb were told never to cry was because of their mother not wanting to see her two boys cry due to the fact they look like their father which he had cried almost everyday, because of trauma. Ross would listen to his mother and tried his very best never to cry, well at least not in front of her. Caleb did the same but eventually realized that he can cry all he wants. So that’s what he did, and he told his brother the same.
