Damn...now I need to watch Soul Food again. I haven't seen it in years and I had forgotten how much I love that movie. Every time I hear this song I call my mom and tell her how much I love her and thank her being my biggest champion my entire life. As much as I try to disguise it, she hears the emotion in my voice *every* single time. It usually goes something like "Honey, is something wrong? You sound upset." "No ma, everything is great. I was just missing you and wanted to hear your voice and tell you that I love you." Thanks for this reaction, Jack!

I made a picture/mother's day card for my mom and grandmother using this song yesterday! I love that you did this song! I used this song, besides the fact of the song itself, but when I went to the military at 17 and I was away from home for the first time, this song was released and I sent my mom this CD single and it's always been her favorite song since then. This track always makes me emotional, especially growing up with just my mom and grandmother, they were all I had so this day means alot to me (and this song). You should check out Boyz II Men, "On Bended Knee" (another tear-jerker), "Water Runs Dry" and my personal fav "Doin Just Fine" (Wanya, the guy that takes most of the leads that does great with lower and higher register - he goes OFF vocally and lyrically. Also another side note, for some time Wanye was dating Brandy back in the 90's :D
