I was there, I saw the pain and the tears first hand. I know you cant hear it but believe me Ronan and the ladz had the whole congregation in floods of tears. :( We have all lost one of the family :'(

I couldn't help but be moved to tears by this. Ronan, Keith, Mike and Shane did a wonderful job at Stephen's funeral and Stephen got a wonderful send off. Myself (along with other Boyzone fans I'm sure) am going to miss Stephen's voice and his lovely smile and beautiful voice. RIP Stephen. Forever miss you, but you are always alive in the hearts of the millions who loved you and the hearts you have touched over the years. God is lucky to have you as an angel high above now.

I cried for about a week when Steo died, I remember when I was sick in hospital after I had a liver transplant and I should have stayed in there, I begged the doctors to let me go to the boyzone concert I already had tickets for, they let me go accompanied by two nurses and The bad got told I was there and what was wrong with me, The nurses took me to the front of the arena and Seven keeled on the stage in front of me and sang to me, It's still the most amazing moment of my life

Ronan spoke beautiful words for a beautiful person. I was a huge boyzone fan as a teenager and was shocked to hear of stephen's death. He was truly special in that he could make anyone smile when he sang. Stephen forms a huge chunks of my early teenage years memories and to think this wonderful person will never again create memories in people that make them smile is something so sad that words cannot describe. Stephen Gately....RIP you are with angels now and will never be forgotten.

I am a mother who lost a son, my deepsest sympathies to the family, and all Steo's friends and workmates, musos... I know this pain and understand it will never heal, we must learn to accommodate it and walk beside it and somehow know our loved one is never truly away... we ache from not seeing them, not hearing their voice or feeling the touch of their hand. @HaNnAhBhAm the Boyzone fans are so proud of the group,Ronan,Mikey,Shane and Keith all conducted themselves with great dignity in the days after Steo's passing and still do. They flew home with his body to Ireland and arranged the whole funeral. They even stayed with him throughout the night sleeping by his side in the church the night before his funeral because he hated being alone. I think maybe the pride we feel in them is an understatement.

I remember watching the coverage a friend of mine was in Dublin at the time and just bawling. I lived with a family at the time and the mom kept coming in bringing me tissues and tea. I remember my boyfriend flew from NY just to be with me for 6 hrs then went home. Truly one of the greats. I am not one for fangirling or being Celebrity obsessed but he captured my heart as a 5 yr old and never let go.

Such a talented, heart-overflowing-with-joy man. I watched the Boyzone reunion concert DVD last night and realized anew how much talent there is in the group and how effectively they worked together. i just love this song.......of my mom dad bmy two brothers and mbarak ....love you guys always ..boyzone flew home with his body to Ireland and arranged the whole funeral. i wasn't a huge fan of boyzone but when i was in grade 5 i realised that i was different. i researched people who had come out and there was Stephen. he was my inspireration to tell the world. but i cold not do this till years later and although in some aspects telling people made it worse, i feel like a better person for it. i do not have to hide. Stephen was my inspiration and thanks to him i am not in the dark anymore. Thank You Stephen

@HaNnAhBhAm Yes . Stephens mother asked Ronan to sing something at the funeral. He chose this song because he and Stephen would sing it together often in the car,dressing room etc,he said Stephens harmony's when they sang it were incredible. He wasn't sure that he would cope with performing it at the funeral,but it was an outstanding and heartbreaking performance.
