I understand the reasoning behind a sequential box, and they're pretty sweet. I was just being a jackass. And I agree with the wheel, I switched to a 350mm in my NA from a 320 and then drove a member's car with the same 320 and questioned why I ever had it on there. Mine is actually exactly like the one in this video.

It's definitely more efficient and definitely more suitable for race applications but Idk, I still like 5 speed manuals better. I wish I could see more of this car in action though.

One of the most exciting race videos I've seen!

@andee2k2 It's called a sequential transmission. There are the conventional up and down shifting sequential transmission and the more common ones you see in the the EVO 10, R35 GTR, Lambos, Ferraris, etc. which is a paddle shifting sequential transmission.

Sounds good, but its making about the same power as a turbo 1.8? How much did all the upgrades cost?

Why choose? My VVT Nbfl is turbocharged. My Tenny is NA Tuned (gonna be ITB) And my girls BRG NB will be supercharged.

I want that motor/trans combo in my miata. It would be a beast of a daily driver, but IDGAF!!!!

I could be totally tripping here, but does the car have a dogbox? Or is it a normal manual.

1. Video quality sucks. 2. That steering wheel is way too big which is why the driver's hand positions look funny. 3. How on Earth is that a G on the left hand side of the dash? 4. Sequential transmissions are no fun in tuner cars, they're too easy. Other than all that, this car is amazing!

This video is from 2009 lol, not that it shouldn't be in 720p but just saying. In nearly all racing applications, a dog box is worlds more efficient than a standard manual gearbox.

Sequential shifting has nothing to do with the class of car. It has everything to do with shaving seconds off your time and keeping the power down. Dont be so arrogant. Oh and the larger steering wheel translates to less need for spinning the steering wheel. He doesnt have to cross over as much.

IMHO Steering wheels are like shoes, helmets and seats: driver preference.
