I absolutely love boxing reviews, they are my favourite. In my professional life I have to be so objective, logical and precise in what I do, that watching subjectivity and irrationality is a great, great entertainment. This video made my day! thank you! thank you!

Don’t know a lot about lawnmower blades but mine takes a beating and keeps on cutting looks like a good all purpose knife that you are not afraid to use I call those top shelf knives pretty boy knives or as wranglerstar would say east coast knives you use your knives so a thumbs up for that I own a lot/collect knives but I will Get one the leather sheath is Top notch and for the price probably can’t be beat for a knife your not afraid to use

I bought 1. I wish people would quit saying for the beginner what more do you need. This is a good knife. Use it as a knife and it will last you 50 years.

Looks like a sturdy knife, I have been looking at getting a knife for my wife, she has smaller hands, do you think the knife handle would be too awkward?

I did a review of this knife recently where I put it through its paces and build a primitive shelter using only this knife and natural materials. I didn't resharpen the blade at all and it held up really well and I used it the slice meat and onions at the end of the review to do some cooking. The ferro rod surprised me by how soft it is and the large sparks it produced. Normally a lower price ferro rod will be as hard as a nail and only produce tiny sparks. I did manage to pull a rivit out of the sheath within a couple of minutes of unboxing but had a snap stud installed so the dangler on mine can now be removed or re-attached as required very quickly. Great knife with a great price tag.

Thanks for sharing your experience with the knife! It sounds like you really put it through its paces. Glad to hear it performed well for both shelter building and cooking!

Too easy. Yeah other than the rivet that pulled out shortly after unboxing it I've been really happy with it. And I like the sheath even more now that I had the press stud put on so I can take the hanger loop off and on as I desire.

I have several BPS knives. They are sturdy and yes you do have to oil and maintain the edge. Perfect for a newbie to learn about knives. The leather sheaths are well made and most come with danglers. Overall, I think they are an excellent value for the money. Also good lenders 😊.

I'm almost sold in buying one of these. Nevertheless, there's something intriguing: why such a good knife, reviewed positively in so many channels, is so inexpensive?? I mean, it's ridiculous cheap. Where's the catch??

It's definitely a great point to consider! Sometimes, lower prices can be the result of smart marketing or direct-to-consumer sales, but I totally get the skepticism. Always good to do some research before making a purchase!

They had to oil it heavy because 1066 is a low alloy carbon steel, it will retain an edge slightly less than a lawnmower blade. I personally wouldn’t buy it except for a sheath, that and the ferro rod if works. It isn’t all bad having a bunch of knives, some cheap and some quality, this way you can try them out and keep one in every vehicle.
