I have the Joker Lynx and let me tell you, the fit and finish on these Jokers are extraordinary, like I almost don't want to use it. It seems like some brands, charge way too much. Joker has become my favorite knife Co. I just bought the Joker Ursus knife . It came to $100. W/green micarta handles, full tang Böhler N695 flat grind blade, W/Hardness of 58 HRC. It has a very sturdy Leather Sheath and the craftsmanship is Precise, on all Joker knife products. The ferro rods are even matching the micarta handles, engraved (joker) W/g10 liners and metal inserts for the elastic lanyard hole, that matches the pins on the knives handles. Blew my mind for the price.

I bought 1. I wish people would quit saying for the beginner what more do you need. This is a good knife. Use it as a knife and it will last you 50 years.

When it comes to the Harbor Freight Hickory Hatchet, I noticed it seems to have dropped in quality over the last few years. Between the pin that they put through the head and handle or the edge geometry seemingly thinning out, it just seems Harbor Freight has cut corners on this axe. Given the economy, I understand. Still, I picked up one of these hatchets 4 years ago and wanted a spare only to find it has changed. Was disappointed to say the least

Sorry milwaukee makes the absolute best. The head and handle are all one drop forged piece. I looked and looke and finally found it. Don't mean to disagree.

I got this knife as a first run as well, in 3V, back when no one had heard of them; such an easter-egg. It really is so versatile, it's just a beast. Before they went to white river knives for 3V they used Peter's heat treat for it. So these early models are legit, and were a bit cheaper.

White River is legit! Their steel is top shelf! But with confidence.. They supply steel for other high end knives also.. Such as Fobos Knives Tier One mini and mini mini.. flawless execution.

@@marvinbrock960 no doubt. In fact I just ordered an M1 in magnacut, and I'm super excited to get that. I just meant that the early 3V architects were Pete's, so also really good and a little cheaper. Back then, the Architect line had almost zero recognition, so it was exciting to find them. But White River is definitely legit, one of the best.

What do you think about bark river puukko? I had a friend of mine make me a custom knife. Its black micarta and 1080 high carbon. Its a bit bigger than my pronghorn and it feels small enough to neck carry. I dont recall if i have a video on it. Ill have to check but he also has a youtube sight. Its Alpha Omego Survival Supply. Hes a good guy. He also makes all kinds of emp soft gear.

A lot of knife builders don't epoxy their handle scales on, but condor does. To me, that's a good way to build a sturdy knife. I'm not saying I don't buy knives that aren't built that way because I do. I own a lot of joker knives or jeo-tec knives, and they don't, but I prefer blades that use epoxy to build a blade. Lt Wrights knives are built with epoxy. Really strong stuff.

Your BOL has to be in the woods near your local water-source. The roads will be full of ambushes and caltrops to flatten tires. So you wont be using the roads nor 4 -wheeled vehicles. When you get to your BOL, dig a tunnel to connect the two spiderholes that you'd better have there, 20m apart. This will take 2 weeks to accomplish. Stay in that tunnel except for one hour per night, as you access a food-bucket and cook a meal. Have several hidden Dakota fire-pits Keep the fire small, 2 ft down in the pit, and use both your bivy and its envelope around the vent hole. Then the firelight will go straight up. If you only have one membrane, it will glow like a neon sign

might suffice down to 40F, as long as there's no wind or rain. If you have both, you'll be in trouble at 50F.degrees. You can't have fires when it's shtf, guys. at least, not until you get to your BOL. So dont have any food in your BOB that needs cooking. Take jerky, granola, powdered milk, Koolaid, Lement electrolyte powder, nut butter, salad dressing, flour tortillas. There's no point in bugging out if you dont have a year's supply of food scatter-buried at your BOL, cause you'll just starve.

I encourage those considering Bugging Out to put all kinds of things in their bags! (sarcasm off) Where I live, if you are bugging out (and if you make it this far away from the chaos), we will relieve you of your heavy bag and send you back where you came from. We refer to those bugging out as 'Unintentional Supply Sources'. If you think you can simply pack a bag, no matter how well equipped, and magically survive by walking around (driving will be impossible) or trying to get to some place that is probably already legally or illegally occupied by someone else, you are delusional. We are four hours from the nearest city, and no one who is not a resident or a relative will get past the only road into our small town. That's the reality, friend. If you Bug Out, in most cases, you are simply choosing to die someplace besides your home. The easy question is: where are hundreds of thousands or even millions going to go, and will they make it? Ask a homeless person what it is like, because they are the real preppers and survivalists. They bug out all the time, and look how well it works for them.

"Unintentional Supply Sources!" That's hilarious! I used to tell people that preppers with small packs saw the people with big packs as "resupply" or as a "resource." Gray Man or Tactical Bag? EVERY BAG is a bag of opportunity.
