They work for anyone wealthy or making money. They have *never* worked for ordinary people. Since the day they were formed. If you have an interest in British social history, you'd know this. Now, if BP had greeted them with "Hello, I'm Lord Chumleigh Boggles-Bogwort" they'd have doffed their caps, tugged their forelocks and fawningly told him they would go and educate the silly business owners.

nothing wrong with "filming vvomen" or "filming men" or whatever - any excuse to infringe on the photographer
@Right-Turn-Clyde
@Right-Turn-Clyde 9 ай бұрын
@MostlyLoveOfMusic Society has demonised photographers, especially men, by thinking that every man taking photos around kids is a nonce and every man taking photos near ladies is a pervert. About 10 years ago I got very serious about landscape and seascape photography and I especially liked shooting seaside towns and small harbours like the ones around Devon and Cornwall. I wanted to start doing more night and low light photos so I bought myself a professional tripod. I already had a couple of DSLR's and a selection of lenses but because I was going to be doing long exposures a tripod was essential. That made my life a nightmare because people started accusing me of targeting kids. Why a tripod made any difference is beyond me. I'd be standing behind my camera taking long exposures of the sea sometimes lasting 30 to 60 seconds and people would walk across my photo. This didn't matter because it was usually so dark the camera wouldn't pick up moving people. The problems started if the shutter closed as somebody with kids was walking by. They thought I'd taken photos of the kids and would get angry with me. If I could calm them down I'd show them the photo I'd taken and their aggression generally turned to fascination and they'd want to know why they weren't on the photo. Sometimes they wouldn't calm down and I was threatened with all sorts and they'd tell other people walking along that I was taking photos of kids. Eventually I just gave up on it and now just do it in the winter when there's fewer people about. It's a shame that people's twisted imaginations ruined a part of my hobby I got a lot of joy from. People who know me think it's hysterical because I have a deep dislike of children and much prefer my dogs. The last thing I want to take photos of is people I don't know, and especially their children. Even though I don't like kids I wouldn't do them any harm and if a child is in trouble I will help them. In the summer of 2022 I found a girl around 6 or 7 crying her eyes out and she was terrified because she was lost on a very crowded beach. People were just ignoring her and I felt sorry for her so I approached an elderly couple and asked the lady to help me because I was on my own having nipped to the local loo. We both approached the girl and talked to her and found out her Mums name and I walked along calling out leaving the girl with the lady. After about a minute a couple came up to me in a panic and I took them back to the lady to collect their daughter. Had I not been able to find somebody to help I don't know what I'd have done because all I could think about is being accused of kidnapping or worse. It turned out the parents would have been fine but the attitude of people had prevented me from helping sooner and while I understand I think it's a sad way to live.

@@Right-Turn-Clyde This reminds me of something that happened a while ago. On our local Facebook page for the area, there was a post about someone flying a drone near some flats. 4 storeys high. The woman was quite irate, and lived on the 3rd floor. She was saying someone was looking in her windows, etc. I was out with my dog (drone pilots love of dogs appears later) and had seen the guy before the post had appeared. So when I read it I knew she was mistaken. The guy was filming the sunset, over the hills in the distance, and was there for a few nights in a row. The post had the usual people who know nothing saying he was all sorts. Anyway someone called the police on him and he happily showed them his footage. She still wasn't happy, even when the police said his drone was never pointed at the flats, wanted him carted off. A few months go by, and her wee dog runs off. She has a post up asking people to keep an eye out for it. With the help of sightings, and that very drone pilot her dog was found in some woods a few miles away. He volunteers for a lost dog charity and saw the posts and used his drone to pinpoint where it was going. So the police could catch it and return it to her. It was only when she thanked them that it became apparent she had phoned the police on him months beforehand.

I know that your goal is to educate folks about photography laws, but some people are incapable of learning. It was clear that nobody here wanted to be educated. It is only until they hear the same thing from police that they might understand or at least accept it. This was another ridiculous display of companies’ ignorance of the law and unwillingness to even listen to your explanations. You display great patience when dealing with these fools. Last year in Germany I photographed a diesel locomotive on an industrial estate and the driver went mental and called the police. Apparently, the police can make you delete the photo in Germany as GDPR seems to apply to private citizens in public places. We are lucky in the UK to have the rights to photograph anything in public.

BP you handled that very well. Her constant " young women " comments were very frustrating. I have two teenage daughters who are constantly taking pictures and filming on their phones with their mates in public, dread to think how many other " women" have been included 🤔 Even my 14 year old knows about PINAC and drone laws. My best advise to her is to stay at home and draw the curtains. Have shown both my daughters this video, and they were laughing at her. Another great watch BP keep going !! ❤️❤️

When people can't get their way they attack. Like the "Are you a pervert?" or the vulnerable women crappla and then there was the tit in the hybrid hairdressers car who didn't like the answer so went down the inappropriate path and then says get a life. Given the choice of slogging 9 to 5 in the office to earn somebody else money or riding around on a bike, keeping fit, taking photos and videos and flying an unmanned aircraft, I know what I'm going to choose. And I did, I retired at 37 in 2005 and have lived a life of leisure every since. I get told I should get a job quite often, usually when people turn up to do some sea fishing and find me in their favourite spot over and over again. They assume I'm unemployed and claiming benefits but I've never claimed a penny. I built and sold a business and now I live a simple life paying my way with the spoils of 18 years of working long hours and 7 day weeks of hard work and now spend about half the year holidaying in my motorhome with my wife aha dogs. I don't tell the haters anything because it's none of their business but they don't like it when I won't react to their insults.

@bpvisits @bpvisits Thank you sir. Life has been very good to me and I'm grateful for every single day. I'm under no illusion that we're the lucky ones and I wish I was in a position to help other great people who haven't been quite so fortunate. I love your videos, you're very calm and polite and doing so much to make people aware of photography and drone rights and laws. I think some people will never get it and the people in these 2 videos are prime examples. They all seem to be very hostile and I'm wondering if the estate is tucked away somewhere quiet. I don't think I've ever seen such a close knit community. The difference in attitudes between them and Sarah, the very lovely HR lady at Stonacre who gave you a tour around her office recently is considerable. She was brilliant. Thank you for bringing us great content but be careful because there are some very objectionable and unhinged people around who are quite prepared to do physical damage.

You can walk down a pavement filming and that includes into windows even houses and you can film children. You cannot sit for a long time filming directly into a persons home as that is harassment and or stalking. So people use Venetian blinds which allow natural light in and protect privacy 😂 The companies shame themselves and could so easily approach with a different attitude and promote their company as expert professional It is creepy that the first thing they think of is perverse, says a lot about how they think Again another one saying that wearing a mask is suspicious 5 mins after it was illegal not to wear a fkn mask 😂🎉😂

Eyup BP, when you get folk who don’t understand the taking photos of buildings and people, you should ask “When you’re on holiday, do you ask everyone in a photo for permission to film them, or get permission from every building owner to have their building in the photo”? Best example would be London tourist attractions, theme parks and Blackpool even, how many folk ask the tower owners for permission to shoot that? No doubt you’ll get the “Yeah but that’s different” reply. It also makes me laugh when they say “Why don’t you go film them instead of us”? Like it’s ok to film them but not us 🤣🤣 Would love a day out with you if ever you’re in West Yorkshire. Keep up the good work ✊

Even the Queen( God bless her) couldn’t have stood on her balcony and screamed “ I’m a private person therefore you cannot film me even though you’re standing outside on a public street!” The mentality of these people is absolutely staggering!

Why do people automatically go down the pervert route, surely a man doing stuff like that wouldn't be so blatantly filming. We are all on camera 50 times a day. Crazy.

This is how I think filming outside a Wetherspoons would go, given the level of intelligence on show.

Did all those people who filmed the King on his coronation on the balcony of Buckingham Palace have to ask every member of his entourage permission to film them. 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 I don't think so.

Big baldy was anything but calm, and his statement on being a ploy to get a reaction while losing his temper can he spell "control." I suggest stress counciling.The cop was nice enough, and he didn't bend the knee to the owner right away. The last guy in the red car was just angry for no reason, but everyone is these days and make the absolute worst assumptions, based on their own mindset.

Why do people yap on about laws they know nothing about, you see on the news, people being interviewed in the town centre, hundreds of people walking past are shown on the news, without their permission. Does every football fan give their permission for their face to be shown on tv?

how do these people get through a normal day with made up understanding of the laws? And it seems most people think their business is private when you are in public. Cracking vid BP
