1995 is starting to look a long time ago now. Sad to see all the variety and wacky workings that have mostly been confined to history. A very well shot and edited video too. Do I note the use of Colin ND grads, with their signature magenta skies effect? 😉

2:06 Thrash-stone Harbour - that looked an easy climb for one Duff, until I saw the one shoving at the rear. Nice! 🚂👍

Wonderful to watch, I was a Driver on the South Eastern based at Ramsgate til 93, superb memories, I remember my shock at hearing the Intercity coming down Dane Valley, Margate but not a familiar class 47 sound to see double headed 31s pass by at the end of the garden blew me away, I filmed them going back but havnt found the video in tears - thanks for sharing this, such memories and pride of being a former Driver

Utterly wonderful! In Scotland, we forget how varied and sublime things can be in the south of England (to the south of London). It doesn't seem a huge area and might not be far from London to the south coast but it is huge from Kent to Dorset. It's great to see backwaters and neglected places. Some are quite sublime. Thanks for sharing. XXX

An amazing film of what we took for granted passing in front of us in the 90s, plus the special charter trains - loved the green liveries - and the very interesting, difficult to see train ferry operations. Thanks for putting this togethe and sharing!

Done the train ferry myself when on loan from Ashford to Dover, but we ran side by side coming off the ferry, really enjoyed using a shunter instead of the 33s which came later, quite an experience it was too in a swell of a tide.
