Great video from a superb location against the sea wall 😊 I had many a happy day train spotting there especially when we had Westerns & Peaks 👍🏻 How on earth do XC think they can cover their service with stupid short formation Voyagers 😫 A friend of mine has just travelled from man pic to Bournemouth on XC and it was awful 😣 Full and poor service Even worse coming back and it cost them all £800 😫

I think I just spotted myself in the first clip lol. A friend and I went for a week to get some Class 50 mileage. My friend is the chap first seen behind the loco, then I am leaning out of the next window. It also explains why 2 people would be leaning out of the non platform side of the train!

How can anyone possibly prefer this to the modern scene with our lovely four car voyagers, with their sealed windows (anyone remember the days where BR was littered with heads at every tunnel, tree and junction?) and those poor people with their padded MK2 and MK3 seats compared to the bolt-upright torture devices of now. As for HSTs? pah. Quiet, smooth and perfect temperature. You can't beat the sound of a large Cummins battering away under your feet for 5 hours, nor the freezing cold/ baking hot temperatures of a voyager and as for the arome from the chemical toilets? You don't get that on HSTs.
