Answer for "Where in the Qur'an does Jesus ask for forgiveness?" First of all it is very important to remember that istighfaar is a high form of worship. It shows عبودية servitude at a high level. Acknowledging that however much one does, one can never match the bounties of Allaah swt, one of them being our existence, of which any good deed is a fruit and consequence. We have many prophets in the Qur'an asking their people to make istighfaar, likewise we have Nooh as asking for forgiveness for having asked Allaah swt about his son who drowned. Allah swt shows us how to seek istighfaar, and tells us that the succesful are those who make istighfaar. Also he tells us that istighfaar is a means of bringing rizq, and children and way out of difficulty and more. The first thing a muslim says after leaving the prayer, is istighfaar (maybe after a single takbeer). There is no sin in praying! However, our lack in خضوع physical serenity and calmness in our stances during prayer and our lack in خشوع submission and concentration in our minds and hearts during prayer are shortcomings when compared to the way it could have been conducted if one was perfect, and even then, as stated before the prayer is nothing but a consequence of the blessing of many consecutive blessings of Allaah swt on the praying person, life, belief, knowledge of how to pray, physical ability, protection from laziness etc. Although bringing more points to back the claim that the prophet ص was sinless despite the aya in Qur'an 1 more will be mentioned as it should suffice. The prophet ص had been forgiven all his past and future shortcomings and had been protected by Allaah swt from sins even before his prophethood. Allaah swt wants to give him the highest place in Jannah, and he only let us "borrow" him for a short while to show us how to best live this short life to earn the pleasure of Allaah Most High.. Therefore what he does is to be an example for us, and not necessarily for his sake.

For the slow, Muhammad ص was sinless. Shortcomings is how we understand and translate the word zanb ذنب with regards to the prophets ع. If you wan't to know what happens on judgement day, and what the 5 biggest prophets condition is, including Jesus ع, go and read the hadith. If you want to see an aaya in Qur'aan in which it states that the prophet ص is forgiven past and future, look no further than 48:2. Jesus is saved by God through the intercession of Muhammad ع, and consecutively intercedes for those muslims who followed him in his time, and followed the last messenger ص after him. I can't answer you on what will happen to you on judgement day, but your belief and actions from now until your death should be an indication for you to see for yourself. Judgement day has not yet happened to us who exist in the confinements of time, for God Almighty, there is no past, present or future - all is the same to Him.

In the festival the soldiers of the priests were searching for Jesus to arrest and kill Him. But remember Jesus said "HIS TIME IS NOT YET COME". Jesus knew that those guards are there in the festival where his BROTHERS and DISCIPLES went on to enjoy such feast. If Jesus joined them His "Brothers and Disciples" then His arrest will be early and His death as well. But again for your understanding His HOUR HAS NOT YET COME.... You are ignorant of the Scriptures you could have charged Jesus of anything but to charge Him lying is the thing He will require you when Jesus comes back to judge the living and the dead and that includes you NAYEM SCORPION. If the rest of the Muslims consider Jesus as their prophet. You know better than me that prophets are sinless according to your imam yet you accuse Jesus as your prophet a liar? You must be ashamed of yourself calling your prophet Jesus a liar? You perverted the Scriptures where Muhammad took such teachings incorporated it in Quran. You blasphemed your own prophet Jesus. And you blasphemed our Lord God and Savior Jesus Christ. How dare you accuse a person who does not have sinned but become sin for us to save us from a death that is not His own. The prophet Isaiah, speaking as if Jesus had already lived and died, said that the Savior “had done no violence, nor was any deceit in His mouth” (53:9). The apostle Peter quoted from Isaiah in his first epistle (2:22), and added that Jesus was “a lamb without blemish and without spot” (1 Peter 1:19). Paul wrote to the Corinthians how Jesus “knew no sin” (2 Corinthians 5:21). What’s more, according to Hebrews 4:15, Jesus “was in all points tempted as we are, yet without sin” (Hebrews 4:15). He was “pure” and “righteous” in the supreme sense (1 John 3:3; 2:1). Simply put, Jesus was perfect; He never transgressed God’s law. By calling Jesus a liar you are calling all who testified about Him a liar too. Who lies and keep on lying between Jesus and you NAYEM SCORPION? I look no further. NAYEM SCORPION Think a thousand times before you accuse Jesus of anything for you do not have a savior that is able to forgive your sins. Your hopes of salvation is dead in Muhammad because your prophet is while ours is alive in Jesus Christ for He is alive today and forever and He is able to save us because He is not dead. Quran affirmed that Jesus is alive until today and He is coming back. Jesus is coming back and even the one who pierced Him will see Him in the clouds full of glory and an exalted God among the highest place. So may Jesus have mercy on your soul in spite of the accusation you hurled against Him. Let Him be the judge between you and Jesus. If I say Jesus is lying I will be like you a liar to it's worst form. Stop perverting the Bible but study it carefully before a thing comes out of your mouth which dictates the heart because it can defile you and God will require that from you. Seek more about Jesus and His true Gospel that is the Gospel of Salvation for Jesus is the Truth and you NAYEM SCORPION a liar, you don't have Christ in you because the truth is far from you. We could be kind and caring to our parents but we'll never be able to repay them for nurturing and bringing us up. So we ask for forgiveness for our shortcomings. I am not a Muslim but this is the first time I have seen Godwin silenced, and I was happy. I hate it when Christians use their "dictionary of the bible" and impose it on the Quran. I find it equally disturbing when Muslims do the same with Christians. Even the Christian view of sin is not the same as the Jewish one. I think the Jewish view of sin, is closer to what I have heard Br Shamsi explained. Godwin thinks that the biblical definition is the only one, and no matter what the muslim Brother explained about the view of sin based on the Quran he cannot entertain it. At this point there is no point in discussing anything more with him. According to Godwin if one is asked to repent it means a person is a sinner. He does not care what one has done. Even I can get the point that Br Shamsi is speaking about short comings. Godwin will not accept that sins has grades or levels to it. He does not know the Torah law otherwise what Br Shamsi said would make sense,,,,,,,even if he rejected it. Even if one rejects the prophet, when Godwin was asked to show where the prophet sinned he could not show it. This for me is where Godwin shows a serious lack in integrity.......just my view. He is either obtuse, or perhaps he has a serious problem with following logic. If Godwin is looking for sinless perfection, he would have discard most of the prophets in the OT. The greatest thing to me is that man can sin, whether major or minor, and repent. Godwin for some reason cannot relate to that.
