BR Standard 7MT 70000 'Britannia' graces the Great Eastern Rails | 28th May 2024

It has been a busy 4 days within the Norfolk rails. To top it all off LSL (Locomotive Services Limited) brought back a Great Eastern Beast back to its former home.
BR Standard 7MT 70000 'Britannia' is seen here thundering past Newton Flotman, which is about 10 miles outside of Norwich, hauling a Steam Dreams Excursion from Windsor & Eton Riverside to Norwich.
An earlier blockage at Forest Gate in London caused by a plastic bag hanging on the overhead wires caused the tour to run up to 102 minutes late, passing me it was running 98 minutes late. Even in the pouring rain 70000 really shined through the wild Norfolk countryside showing what it best did back in the steam era.
