I always use the Mathieu pliers to push the wire in place. Never knew I could use a Weingart plier for that! Good to know.👍🏼😊

I m not sure which my favorite is, but I know that the distal end cutter always gives me anxiety when it is used.. I know it's safe but for some reason I keep thinking my lip is going to get caught in it or the piece of extra wire is going to fly out! 😅

In pretty much all my ortho appts so far, they've cut the excess wire while it's in my mouth. And a fear of mine is swallowing the piece of metal as it flies off but now I know that won't ever happen lol thanks for the peace of mind

Who else thinks the pin cutter looks like a cuticle remover? lol. When I just got my braces I actually ordered a cuticle remover to use for my poking wires, I was never brave enough to put it in my mouth to cut the wires.

Smeggers I have 2, and I’ll probably have to get them exposed.. I’m really nervous about it! I don’t have a high pain tolerance and my orthodontist said it was expensive

@@laylamaui9919 it won't hurt at all. Except for the needle they inject into your gums to numb the pain which is a very weird feeling but nonetheless you shouldn't worry about it.

Hey so I have this question. So um I’ve had my braces for around 4 months and in my last appointment I got a power chain on my top teeth (my teeth are really gapped and keep in mind this was like 3 weeks ago), so I know that braces pain is normal but it’s supposed so go away after a week or so. So when I got my power chain the pain went away after a week but then after 2 weeks some mild pain returned, sometimes it’s just one specific tooth that hurts but most of the time is like the 4 front teeth, I wanted to know if this is normal and if I should tell my orthodontist...

@Peter Yeeter I have the same situation too. My top teeth and my bottom teeth had many gaps, and when my orthodontist put power chains on all my teeth, it started to hurt a lot. My power chains would sometimes hurt here and there, (especially my canine tooth) so I asked her if it was normal to have some specific teeth hurt and if it was normal for it to hurt even after a week or so. She said that it was normal for it to happen, but idk if this answered your question or not. You can ask your orthodontist next appointment and ask if it’s normal for that to happen, assuming you still have them on even though I answered 3 months late 😝. This is off topic, but I love your pfp since it’s Pepe 😋

@and i oop nope it is not high cuz i would cry to a non bleeding simple cut ....it is just when i first got them 4months ago they kept hurting like hell for 45 days....and then it was my appointement to my ortho and he replaced the elastics with wire ties .....and i'm still with them and since then i don't feel any pain in my teeth...btw a got a larger wire this Time when still sticking with wire ties....i'm kinda anxious 'bout this ......any advice??
