Okay, so we are back on the normal playlist again. Once more, I have to use FCEUX for this, as Nestopia seems to hate me as of late. Sorry about releasing this a bit late, blame the holidays.
So, after being disappointed with the amount he was making as a plumber, Mario went to school and got his doctorate. What happened after that was Dr. Mario, and after that was made I give the game a virus of my own. Enjoy.

Dr Mario Iteration 1: The pills sprites and positioning are glitched, beating a stage causes the entire HUD to glitch-flicker (AKA in a flickering manner it glitches and returns to normal) Iteration 2: Starting causes the game to inmediantly think you beat the stage and skips to the next one, and so on, and so on, The stages only have a yellow virus and the sprites in the bottom right rotate incredibly and move incredibly fast everytime the stage skip happens Iteration 3: Title screen, menu and Mario and the virus sprites are broken, the music is a garbled mess, throwing a pill and killing a germ causes the game to temporarily freeze and then half of the germs suddently disappear, after a while the game crashes making a noise. Iteration 4: similar to the previous iteration but now the music is less garbled and glitched, the germ sprites in the main game are also glitched and screen doesn't flicker-glitch that much, after a while the game crashes. Iteration 5: The music is stuck making a low but loud beeping noise, the germ sprite animations are accelerated at such point it generates a blur. Iteration 6: Another graphic corruption, the pills' sprites also glitch, after a while the game crashes. Iteration 7: The main game's tiles have a few glitches. Iteration 8: The Jingle glitches with a looping sound effect, some loud static and beeps here and there, the game over jingle is a jumble of glitched sounds and loud beepings. Iteration 9: the menu glitches greatly, starting a game inmediantly gives you a game over screen. Iteration 10: A grey screen, which turns pink with flickering sprites, sometimes the germs and Mario's sprites appear with incorrect coloring as the screen turns purple

The game was released in 1990, The same year Nintendo released Fire Emblem. Which was also the year they released the SNES as the Super Famicom. Fun fact: both things that had a similar development cycle.

It's notably more involved than that. There's finding where the graphics are stored in the ROM, which if it's compressed, can be VERY difficult to find. Besides, I'm probably going to be sticking to NES games for a while.

there are corrupting programs out there, but I use my own script that I wrote myself. It is by no means user friendly and is for advanced users, only. Someday I'll probably get off my ass and make a how-to video, but it won't be for the faint of heart.

and now, the iterations explained by yours truly after half a year since the super mario bros corruption series, here we go! 1. simple texture corruption, not too bad until the level completes. still playable! 2. The game is so easy now, you don't even have to drop a single pill! 3. Well this is chaotic as heck. The game freezes for a moment, then it continues. after that, the game crashes again. 4. we got plenty of texture corruption, now with a side of song remix! dunno why ya gave up on the first try though. 5. speedy viruses and MASS AUDIO CORRUPTION!!! gameplay is the same though. 6. simple texture corruption and then sudden crash after 1st virus kill, if it didn't crash the different textures would make the game a lot more confusing. 7. aside from ittle bittle texture corruption, the gameplay is slightly changed and i think it's cool! 8. the new remixes are pretty sick! 9. texture corrupting now with a side of literally impossible dr mario! 10. i hope nobody is prone to seizures here...
