As always, very well done! This is such an underrated horror film. Most people forget about it. It deserves more of an audience. Some very memorable moments in this horror movie. And, of course, very good music by the, imo, underrated Brad Fiedel.

This movie was dark AF, and Brad absoutlely delivered like no other for the score. Love how he brought in his signature sounds he did for Terminator into this, the contrast from percussions & metal drums is magical. Loved this film.

Grazie Gilles❤👍🏻 I saw this Wes Craven cult on two occasions, years ago. Bravo Brad Fiedel❤👏🏻 Craven manages to mix horror and political nightmares: zombies are an instrument of dictatorial power. The horror part is impeccable, but the metaphor on power is also not banal. The dreamlike scenes and the "anthropological" exploration of Voodoo are beautiful.💀🔥 Originally the work was supposed to last 184 minutes, however the reaction of the Motion Picture Association Of America to the film forced him to make heavy cuts which led to the final version of the film. A film always attentive to moderation with some terrifying scenes (one above all the semi-castration) and with an underlying social cross-section of a true intellectual.

Sounds like Terminator music... Once you've heard a composer's score for one movie, you notice the scores they did for other movies often have some of the same sounds.

C'est très inspiré de Terminator mais c'est sans doute l'une de ses meilleurs compositions après Terminator. C'est dommage qu'il n'ait pas travaillé sur plus de films. Mis à part ces 2 oeuvres, le reste de ses compositions est très peu connu.

A curiosity: Is your name Gilles Nuytens pronounced as it is written or is it pronounced in French?

Hmm... That's difficult to say as every language pronounce the letter in their own ways. My first language is French but my last name is of Flemish origin, so Gilles has the French pronunciation while Nuytens should be pronounced the Flemish way.
