Thank you for this interview. Listening to Brad Jersak has helped me sooooo much to come to terms with the toxic theology from my childhood and early adulthood. Please can you find out the exact title of the Peter Enns book that Brad is talking about at timestamp 21:30. I heard something like "God let his children tell his story" but I can not find that book anywhere. Thanks bunches.

So glad the conversation blessed! I, too, am thankful to Brad for putting language around a reconciling approach to God. I'm not sure what book that quote is from but I'd recommend Peter Enns podcast The Bible for Normal People.

@@JasonClarkIS-youtubehi again...... I actually found the book and ordered it. Here is the title: "The Bible Tells Me So... Why Defending the Bible Has Made us Unable to Read It". There is a chapter titled "God lets his children tell the story". It is an excellent book!!

I love Brad Jersak & am very encouraged by this conversation. I struggle with the Peter Enns quote "God let his children tell the story." Seems like that is used to write off the the things in the Old Testament we don't like but we would never use that quote to write off Jesus or the New Covenant. I believe Jesus was the true revelation of the Father & I'd love to believe this quote about tough passages in the Old Testament, but honestly struggle with it. Any thoughts to help clarify?

Hey, first, meant to say it, thanks for the review. I like Petes quote, but thats cause I need it simple and he simplified it in a way that valued our humanity and the nature of God's uncontrolling love, or "inspiration." That said, check out this weeks podcast with Jamie Bishop. Especially the last third as he touches on how to approach to OT. Its in the same spirit as Pete, but has another angle.
