I was a driver for a freight company in the Bay Area and had a delivery to a address in Richmond. Pulled up to it and it was a fenced compound with crap all around and noticed the name on the invoice was D. Mann. A old guy came out and I unloaded a crate and he had no clue what it was or who had sent it. I helped him uncrate it and it was a old dilapidated flat track bike, he started checking it out then all of a sudden he froze and you could almost see him tear up as he realized what it was and memories of it started running through his mind. The sky was really blue the rest of the day for me👍

Brad loaned my son his CZ while at Diamond Dons one year to race with, barely knew him ten minutes, he didn't know who Brad was and when he told me who loaned it to him he said some old guy serving drinks over there lol. Now he knows who it was. Love you Brad.

Met Brad in the pits at Saddleback after the 72 (maybe 73) Trans AMA, he had already changed into a bright blue hippy jacket and was drinking out of a boda bag. He became my hero and I became a diehard Lackey fan.

I rode in a made-for-TV movie called "Storming Home" as an extra with Brad. I think it was in 1986. I remember how kind and down-to-earth he was when I approached to tell him it was just an honor to be on the same track with him. It was one of my best MX memories. He's a true world champion.

Saw Brad 2X; Unadilla Trans Am '79 & "80. If I recall he won in '79 on the Factory Kawi 500 and reced the new 250 Watercooler in '80. Was cool to see him get better each year in GP's. Years later he sat behind us at the '97 LA SX and bench raced with us the whole race. Legend

"...at my age you don't have to fall off to get hurt...." I really chuckled when he said that. I'm 77 and I got aerobic the other day just trying to get my boots on....LOL! Truth!

After watching a few of these videos, I have finally subscribed on this video I almost didn't even watch simply because I didnt know who he was, before my time I guess. With that being said I have noticed a few things in these videos that would greatly help the viewers not in the known. during the interviews it would be nice to dee some screen shots of general pictures or even better pictures of what is being discussed if available, not full screens maybe 1/4 screen boxes. One other screen is I dont watch these types of videos to hear what I know its the things I dont know that draws me back here and at times I have found you discussing things that sound great but with no back story I have zero clue what you are actually talking about. I cant remember but I think it was RJ's interview this happened frequently or maybe it was Hannahs id have to rewatch. Oh I just remembered one thing, Like in the Hannah interview I never knew his 1976 bike was liquid cooled and had to look it up following but it was briefed on a couple times in his interview but just passed by, as a viewer keeping in mind im watching to learn new things and though I knew well who hannah was I didnt know much about him early career again before my time. point being missed an opportunity even Hannah mentioned liquid cooled bike of 76 with air cooled cylinder, my tech side was not only festinated by liquid cooled in 76 but if not the cylinder what were they cooling? I consider this an missed opportunity because following watching that I looked up this bike, found it but no explanations available anymore as to why or what they were cooling or feedback from hannah on his thoughts about how it helped him win.
