Poker At The Lodge

Күн бұрын

Brad Owen had a rough session on this episode of Poker At The Lodge. He showed a lot of heart, but his moves didn't often work out. Check out the highlights.

The Lodge Card Club is a members-only social club in Round Rock, Texas (just north of Austin). With 24/7 cash games and 2+ tournaments per day, The Lodge is THE place to play poker in central Texas. The Lodge Live is streamed every Monday, Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday at 3PM CT.
You never know what you might see on The Lodge Live stream. You might see Pocket Aces vs Pocket Kings. You may see the nut straight lose to a full house after the board pairs on the river. There's a good chance you will see loads of straddles (and double straddles, and triple straddles). Players go all-in blind or play poker hands after looking at just one card. That's just what poker is like in Texas!
The stream regularly features Lodge owners Brad Owen, Andrew Neeme, and Doug Polk. Players like Rampage, Mariano, and Igor Kurganov has also graced The Lodge Live felt. And who knows? One day The Lodge may even host players like Daniel Negreanu, Phil Hellmuth, Phil Ivey, or similarly huge poker names.

Brad has released 2 videos for this trip playing on the Lodge’s live stream. Interestingly this 7-2 hand was not in them. We’ve all done something that we never want to talk about it again.

He likely was aware of The Lodge's intentions, and purposely omitted it. He's humble enough, historically, to include it. I agree, however, that when, in short order, this becomes a faint memory, Brad will be relieved. Don't know dude, so all speculation.

Its a bluff where he played the player, if EZ didn't have such a strong hand he may well have folded. Thats what a bluff is, it doesn't matter the value of your hand when you do that, just that your opponent folds.

@@JamesBu11 Agreed. Everybody here can see the cards. On the 7-2 hand, he cleared the table and was left with the loose player ...who happened to have a monster. Could have went the other way easy enough. (Then again, there is the get your money in good argument.) On the last had, with the 9-9...that continuing push works, as Brad represents top pocket pairs...and didn't run into the monster that time. He told a story of strength.

14.56 Brad says it’s called a bluff after shoving and having to show the 99s. Then instantly he says he didn’t think the guy he put all in had anything? So your bluffing against a guy you think doesn’t have anything? Let’s just get it right Brad was way over his head here
