When televised viewership is on the line, the stakes increase exponentially for venues to deliver premium entertainment. This is true across the spectrum of sports and there have been plenty of confirmed scandals as well as probable conspiracy theories (MLB steroid use and simultaneous official baseballs being juiced too). The Lodge seems to have a disproportionately high amount of unique hands, but until someone runs some numbers, or there's a confirmed scandal, we can only postulate.

The Lodge would climb up the ladder of respectability and gain additional cred, if it ditched its current attitude of 'local shock jock announcers calling a weekend ECW event', and let the games call themselves, for the most part, with minimal direction by a seasoned duo.

Every other hand at "The Lodge" is a straight flush, quads, a boat vs. a higher boat. I'd be curious to see what'll happen to these lodge players this summer at the WSOP when it's no longer a reality poker web series but a massive tournament with real dealers and real decks.
