A well deserved award for a great actor who worked slowly his way to the top. He started just as a pretty face dedicated to superficial romantic dramas and hr was regarded almost entirely for his pretty looks, but determined to build a good career he worked hard along the way and proved himself as an actor. He had developed a solid filmography working with numerous talented actors and directors, with great films like Seven, 12 monkeys, Snatch, Killing them softly or Inglorious Bastards. In the process he also remained as a commercially profitable name in the business, leading successful blockbusters like Troy, Ocean's Eleven or Word War Z. His involvement in the new Tarantino film and the subsequent academy award is the result of years building a well-established career. I didn't like his "pretty poster boy" beginnings and discarded him like a media product targeted to female audiences. But I started to respect the man soon enough he started to moving on in his career and expanding his acting roles horizons, and actually liked and enjoyed him most of the times. Its a very similar case of his good comrade Leo Dicaprio. Both started as pretty faces for dispensable boring romantic roles with 0 interest for myself, but they both decided to fight the odds and build serious careers and they both came out to be very good actors delivering many good films in the way. .

Love that Brad has finally the recognition he deserves. Now I want to see someday Tom Cruise win an Oscar, was which he should have won for Collateral and Magnolia.
@bighands694 жыл бұрын
Cruise will never win an Oscar. Not because he is not good at what he does. Cruise is not politically aligned with Hollywood and he is also involved in religion which they despise.

@@bighands69 yes. I agree with u that he will never win an oscar. But my opinion is bcoz he is in 'his own world' when he acts in some movies. Not for everyone to criticize or to compliment. He is just the way he is.
