Doug Hopkins, the man who wrote the song said he ran into the girl whom the song is about, she was so upset about it. She had (if I remember correctly) a black belt in karate and put him into the hospital for a week with a shatterd cheek bone and some other injuries by one kick to the head. When telling the story he was able to laugh at the whole experience. I often wonder what she thinks of the song today. Rest In Peace Doug. You wrote some great tunes.

The guy who wrote the song, Doug Hopkins was fired from the before this album was released. He struggled with depression and was an alcoholic, so the lyrics are so dark, but with a jangle pop sound. Sadly, he eventually committed suicide. 2 others he wrote "Hey, Jealousy" and "Lost Horizons"
