great!!! like your video. like the idea that you manage landscape video on vertical.

Thanks Widhi! Yeah sometimes you just don’t want to crop into the shot and it’s best to keep it landscape 😊👍🏼

Looks great! Did you keyframe that opening shot? Or use the new object tracker?
@Brad_West2 жыл бұрын
I actually did that in after effects because I wanted to apply easing to the keyframes. But you would be able to track and replace a screen on a phone using the new tracker 😊👍🏼

@@Brad_West I've been using AE too. I can't seem to get the motion tracker in FCP to do a smooth track of a green screen. It's probably user error. :p
@Brad_West2 жыл бұрын
Does the green screen that you’re using have tracking points or area of high contrast to track?

Look forward to your vids always. I was unclear on the change from smooth to linear though. Why? What’s the difference?
@Brad_West2 жыл бұрын
It was just a bonus tip, not an essential step. Sometimes the default movement (smooth) looks odd because the position keyframe slowly starts moving from the first keyframe, ramps up and then slows down at the second keyframe. With linear keyframes, it moves at a constant speed from one keyframe to the other and creates more of a panning motion. I hope that explains it better 😊👍🏼

How do you do the converse? I got 9:16 videos I want to convert into the converse
@Brad_West Жыл бұрын
You can scale them up to fill the screen but you will lose some of the image. Alternatively, you can get a free plugin from MotionVFX called mVertical to help create a blurred background from your vertical clips.

Great video! Can you make one explaining the best export settings for Instagram Reels or TikTok in Final Cut, love your content!

Funny you should ask, I did one not so long ago. Well for IG stories and posts but I would use the same method for reels and TikTok 😊👊🏼 Here it is: kzbin.info/www/bejne/qovNhGl6eN2HeqM

That's odd. Ideally you want to shoot at a higher resolution if possible.
