I’m a beginner… but the beginner videos were too basic in that they didn’t tell me what was possible. Am I going to implement (or even understand) most of this? Nope. However, you gave me enough of what’s possible so that I can start by mastering a dumbed down template and grow from there. Thanks so much. (I took notes, screen shots, the whole shabang… felt like I was back in school!)

so, how can i edit in FCP like they have it in davinci? taking words out out and it cuts the video, like the "um's" and other words you don't want in the video... Any way to do it in FCP? any help would be appreciated... thank you.

"Spatial" videos can be viewed on most birdbath glasses. I am able to watch them perfectly with my xreal glasses and an app called Spatialy. Very cool to have editing capabilities!

Option up and down to reorder clips is how it was in FCP7. Pretty sure the removal of that was one reason I switched to resolve.

I just updated final cut today because I was excited from your other video to try it out, sadly, I have to say Apple gave us the bare minimum effort when it comes to a captioning option in my opinion. It's almost as if they were like "people want auto captioning" and they gave us a "D+" effort. As you mentioned in your video, there is zero customization to the original captions that they give you, and unless you want to pay for a third-party plug-in or jump through hoops, I guess I'll just keep using CapCut for free in the meantime. Luckily I don't have to do captioning all the time for work, but I wish I could just keep it all in house in one program EASILY!

Yeah I would love to have the same level of auto captions/titles built directly into FCP like mCaptions for example. Right now, mCaptions is the most versatile (and good looking) captioning tool out there in my opinion.

Awesome tutorial thanks! mCaptions has been almost great, there's lot's of "ghost" captions and sometimes blank segments for no reason but probably will get fixed in the future.

having to go outside of final cut pro to turn them into titles is a bummer. I use CAPTIONATOR which is a great tool, but I don't use it as much because it requires me to go outside of final cut to use it. This website you recommended, although great that is free, just seems like a very clumsy workflow. I'll stick with captionator for now.

Eu não tinha ideia de que o KZbin começou a fazer isso, mas aparentemente a tradução de IA para outros idiomas foi habilitada nos meus vídeos. Então, clicando no ícone de engrenagem no player do KZbin, você pode alterar a faixa de áudio do áudio padrão para outro idioma. Muito legal para tornar o vídeo acessível para pessoas que falam outros idiomas 😄 Obrigado pelo apoio!

The biggest down side for me is when you do captions for a vertical video, it is an extremely long line of text like a horizontal video. If we could customize how many words or characters that would be clutch. But this definitely speeds up the work flow for sure!

Apple only released the FCP update to integrate it with their Apple Vision Pro nonsense that nobody needs. So, captions are still not available.

Final Cut 11 won't give me the "transcribe to captions" option. I'm still on MacOS Sonoma 14.7. I saw one youtube video say for caption transcription you need to update to Sequoia, but the Apple App Store very clearly did not say this about the transcribe function, while it did say this about other functions. What's going on?

The subtitle transcription sucks. Not intuitive and no better than Davinci resolve studio. What a disappointment ! I can't put the subtitle in french.

Hey. Any idea if new update destroyed cut to beat as presented here? Since week I am not able to do it as the mp3song can not stay below empty timeline for cutting lines. Every tome trying to insert mp3 to timline,,the fcpx saying this video is not recongised🙈. What happened? Thank you for any hint🎉

Sounds like the mp3 is corrupted to me. Try converting from mp3 to mp3 (I know, sounds weird) but doing that with a free app like Media Human Audio Converter can sometimes fix a corrupted mp3.

Hey Brad. Thank you for answering. It was my mistake🙈. I was on timeline with video only instead music. So after clicking correct button on fcpx all was OK. How I found? By insterting normal mp3 and fcpx was giving same pop up message with error. Thank you your very usefull movies👌. Very appreciated. Especially Iam beginner ( very,very beginner 😂)
