Unbelievable trip. Congrats. I've dreamed of a trip like that all my life. Never got my wahoo. and no shark. Out of Freeport they always lose some to sharks. BTW I'm writing a book about my 60 years of spearfishing, Spearing mag is helping me with editing and publishing. Difficult to remember all the stories and history.

Love the cinematography and the sport of spearfishing but I can't say that i like the amount of fish you harvested. I guess with no bag limit, you can do what you want, but this approach to the bounty of the ocean is unfortunate. Still, it was fun to watch and i appreciate your efforts to share with us.

Wahoo are by far one of the most sustainable fish species to harvest. If you read about them and ‘pelagic’ species you’ll see how quickly they grow to these sizes and reproduce. I can confidently say this didn’t put the slightest damper on wahoo population. We only get to hunt these fish a couple times a year as well. So that’s a years worth of hunting for me where we are. I understand how it might look to people not familiar with it, but wahoo is one of the most sustainable species to harvest.

We need Rob Allen to come out with 8mm threaded spears.. Spears I shoot in this video are Rob Allen 8mm double flopper- I believe which are custom made for the CDR gun I'm shooting.
