Love this angle! It's very relatable, hope to see more video from this perspective. Thanks for sharing!

Thanks! It's interesting to see both sides of the wave although difficult to keep the surfers in frame.

I like how you include some shots of people wiping out and being generally kooks, makes me feel like I could make the cut one day :P

I really enjoy the perspectives and the emotions of the surfers. Always hunting for an optimal angle positioning and open to show your creative process, unlike most. And enjoy the peaceful commentary ! Love it ❤

Man-Bun alert! He'll probably go bou-fant long before it approaches pony-tail man realm. Heavy-set old guy was killing it though, such irony in surfing. Thank you. .

curious why the sandbars at huntington beach pier are so much better than redondo, manhattan, venice piers. Aside from the obvious different swell/wind directions, is there any other reason why?
@MapleBar7774 ай бұрын
I wouldn’t discount the two reasons you named. I’d also add, coastal facing direction, south swell shading from PV and Catalina, and shelf shape. Used to live in Redondeezy (north and south) and now live in downtown HB. I miss the hilly terrain (compared to HB) and the strand, but I love HB and Newport. 🤙

Do you still have some times that you want to be in the water? or is filming enough to quench your thirst. Great video

I still have the urge to paddle out especially on super fun days. Those are the hardest. I still manage to paddle out maybe once per month.

Just started surfing went out to HB pier southside and got yelled at "learn how to surf and get out of the water" because I was duck diving a set and lost my board under the white waters. Surfing is suppose to be fun and that ruined it for me, but I still go out to the same exact spot every weekend because I want to get better. Sad to see surfers angry and mad when the ocean is open for everyone...
@kflame9577 ай бұрын
people have been surfing that pier forever and when you do stuff like that it can be dangerous for everyone. He definitely could have handled it a bit better but, instead of surfing a spot known for people being competitive and skillful go 10 min further down south and surf around state beach. You can find your own sandbar and not have to worry about anyone but yourself.

@@kflame957 All good, I surf there every weekend and I've seen the guy there every time, gave his tire a slow leak to say thanks. I def will check out other spots that aren't as crowded.

😂 Good on ya. definitely some underrated waves down there. Everyone at pier thinks their better than everyone else and just wants exposure.
