The great thing is: Tom Jones is in his 80s now and never lost his pipes. Just his dance moves got a bit ... more relaxed.

I Will Never Fall In Love Again" is the one that showcases his voice and gets some people to tear up. But yeah, Tom Jones back in the day, was the U.K.'s answer to Elvis (and both men were also good friends). He had his own tv variety show for awhile and the ladies really went for this guy.

Tom was a Welsh coal miner who got "discovered" in '65. This was his first hit and it made him a star who got his own weekly TV show and continued to have a VERY long career. This song was written for another British singer, Cilla Black, and he just did the demo. The story is that she heard his demo and walked out of the recording studio because she was so impressed with it.

Funny that Lex mentions a casino, It was 53 years ago that Jones recorded the iconic “Tom Jones Live in Las Vegas” album from a performance at The Flamingo. At one point, he performed two shows a night in Las Vegas appearances. Jones first performed in Las Vegas at The Flamingo Hotel in 1967.

This was a way sped up version for TV it's about twice the speed he usually sings it.. You should try and find some videos of him singing Gospel and Blues he's amazing with those aswell! In fact Tom was best mates with ELVIS even spent a Holiday at Graceland with his wife and Elvis and Precilla Presley!! (he idolised Elvis and Elvis Idolised Tom! -Mutual respect for eachothers vocal/For given talent and gift and just natural ability to feel and sing not only these types of Songs but both Tom and Elvis sand so great Gospel, Blues, Soul etc). Tom is a very versatile singer. Even now in his 80s (as a judge on "The Voice UK" the other judges like 'Will.i.Am' and "Jennifer Hudson" the others etc, will get him to stand up and do a song from the chair or the stage acapella and Jennifer Hudson loves him She often sings Duets with Tom which are just Gold!! Either from their chairs or sometimes they'll get up and do a duet on the stage with her or whoever and he can STILL stay with Jennifer Hudson for power and Range on the duets he's truly a great singer! Not sure what other ones you checked out of his yet. Delilah (is a classic) Green Green Grass it Home (also a classic) There's loads. Maybe see if you can dig out some of his live performances from later in his career. He headlined Glastonbury I think a few years back played a whole set! But he's done some amazing studio duets and songs aswell blues and Gospel... 👍🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿

Recently finished Sit Tom's autobiography, and a very good read it was too. Tom was often squeezed into a mainstream role when his heart was always in blues, gospel and rock 'n' roll. I worked in a suit manufacturer for twenty-two years. Men didn't want to wear suits anymore. My dad was proud of good he looked in his suit. When he passed, his two suits rode around in my car for a long time before I finally stopped and put them into a donation box. He didn't want a funeral, so that was like his funeral for me when I let go of his suits. And finally, I accepted a lay-off from my job because men had decided they looked better with their pants falling off.
