"Why's Everybody Always Pickin' on Me?" is far from serious, but it's the closest thing I can think of to a Bloodhound Gang hit. It actually got a fair amount of alternative radio play back in the day, which is pretty amazing considering its biggest lyrical hook is a guy shouting "THE DRUMMER FROM DEF LEPPARD'S ONLY GOT ONE ARM!" I think Jimmy Pop's best bars are probably in "Lift Your Head Up High (and Blow Your Brains Out)", though. "Life's short and hard like a body-building elf" is one for the ages.

I love BHG and their irreverence and the path away of the overcrowded more commercial music that populates the charts these days, this took me back and reminded me of the Roxbury guys and the Jim Carrey sketch for the SNL (Haddaway - What is love) that turned into a meme that to this day still kills me every time xD

This song is classic. It is premised upon the 1984 hip-hop single "The Roof is on Fire" by Rock Master Scott and the Dynamic Three (an 80's hip-hop name if I've ever heard one) and references a lot of music and pop culture from the 70's through the 90's. My favorite references are the lines " I'm not black like Barry White (a famous soul singer from the 1970's). I'm white like Frank Black (lead singer of late 80's and early 90's influential alternative band Pixies, who you guys should definitely check out)" and then goes on to paraphrase some lines from the Pixies hit "Monkey Gone to Heaven". My personal favorite Bloodhound Gang song from back in the day was "The Lapdance is so Much Better (When the Stripper is Crying)" although it is definitely crass and borderline offensive, especially these days.
