Video is absolutely ace. My only real issue with this blaster is that it's a pain to swap the springs out. If I spent that money on a product, I would want it to be the only pump-action Springer I would need; so swapping springs would be something I'd be doing pretty often.

Swapping out the springs is a pain compared to what we've had in the past couple of years first with Prophecy, then Ceda, quick takedown Caliburn and the latest fast spring swap of the Dart Zone Nexus Pro needing a single screw. While I do think it would be great to swap out the spring faster, it's also a trade off with durability. Perhaps they could develop a different stock for it with a threaded end cap or something to access the spring easier.

They have designs for a 3D printed suppressor you can add, or just throw on an airsoft or gel ball suppressor to protect the end. The spring swap is annoying compared to things like Nexus Pro but is definitely much easier than a Longshot.

I have some questions about the Sabre M20 series of blasters. 1) What are the different M20 variants? I’ve heard of the M20, M20C, M20S, M20 Construct, M20X and apex prime, are there anymore? 2) What are the difference between the different Sabre variants? Is the M20C just a Delrin internal variant of the original M20 which has a metal internal? And the M20S is just a higher plunger volume version of the OG M20 while the Construct is just a higher quality version of the OG M20 using steel parts and the M20X is just a metal external variant of the M20?

You mentioned that you think they upgraded the trigger for you? So it’s actually 850 plus extra for a metal trigger and a grip? Also I wasn’t clear on the purpose of the electrical tape on the barrel. Was that to hold the strings in place?

The tape is to protect the strings. You can also place a suppressor over the top to further protect it. I think trigger and mag release are usually delrin parts, they aren't vital to be metal, just a cosmetic upgrade really.

As you say the price matches the build quality. Having said that, for that price, having to use electrical tape to secure the strings on the scar is pretty hokey and really what was being done 3 years ago. Would be better if they just had a regular barrel leaving it up to the buyer to use their choice of scar. ( This blaster with a Blasterfy Scar would be cool AND expensive) Secondly those seem like Long Shot diameter springs but with the length of a Caliburn spring - kinda difficult to find, meaning one would have to rely on Sabre to supply all the springs ( one of the things that the TC and Caliburn and now the Lynx have going for them is one can readily find springs for them. Lastly I hope they come out with many more lowerkg springs, for those that want to use it at a 150ish fps game. All in all, I would buy it if those issues were addressed - I've spent more overall, for less.

150fps it would need to be like a 6kg spring which would be awesome because it would feel like a stock Nerf blaster to prime. The scar barrel I think they baked it into their barrel so that they had control over the accuracy as it leaves the shop but those barrel nuts you can easily attach to your own Worker/Artifact barrel if you wish.

Bradley ... 18kg need a longer barrel... that’s how Conrad manage the distance and accuracy with that solution. You will notice a lot of “snipers” in SG and MY are using longer barrels for jungle games. As for the length of longer barrel , you need to check with Conrad . He has done a few variants. Beautiful blaster, don't get me wrong, but you can have a caliburn with metal internals (requiring you to only replace chassis parts for the most part) or a dart zone nexus pro/mk 1.1 for SIGNIFICANTLY cheaper with very little performance loss. Maybe super long term this thing pays for itself and obviously in your case as a KZbinr who does this so frequently and wants to push the hobby forward, a reasonable purchase. I don't think this is adequately priced for any but the most enthusiast level hobbyists.

It’s even smaller than a startup. It’s not even beyond the 5 fingers you have in your hand. If a larger company is behind this, maybe it will be a different story. It is really moulded. If you want , you can PM Conrad and ask for actually mould pics. Investing in those mould pieces is a $ bomb.

A startup is a startup... independant of the amount of people :-) I don’t doubt the fact the shell is injection moulded. Its neat..... but that pricetag..... SAB also seems to have a bad reputation as a company in the NIC (outside of Singapore) from what I've heard. I haven't heard the full story on why but I think they may have done some questionable things in the past. Build quality and construction seem rock solid, although the aesthetics aren't my taste. $850 could get you an FDL 3, and still leave you enough money to buy another couple 3d printed blasters. For that price you could also trick out a longshot and have basically the same thing and again still have plenty left over to buy several other 3d printed blasters. Heck, you could get 3-4 ender 3's and start a print farm. I dunno, it doesn't seem worth it to me.

The story was many believed SAB copied Caliburn. I was the first few buyer of SAB. The initial drive was consumers bought off-the-shelve Caliburns. It under-performed and broke upon purchases. Seeked engineer by profession for professional adjustment. Major internal tweaks and aesthetic enhancements in the internals formed SAB. Main incident : A FanBoy posted the infamous Caliburn in the dustbin pic as an expression of the frustration he faced with Caliburn purchase. This main pic infiurated Caliburn Supporters. Do take note, the maker has no control over behaviour of his product. So with exaggeration and conflict argument brought in main topics such as copying , not paying royalties and giving credits to Captain slug. Pls take note all these argument were made by the Fans. With regards to Copying - no law was broken , the direction was to provide better off the shelve products and after sale service in SG locally. With regards to paying royalties - till date Captain slug has not engage SAB on this matter and also related to the above point. With regards to giving credits - was actually given in SAB facebook home page but do take note, all the requests were made by the fans and not by Captain slug himself. Few things to take note : The person who posted the initial controversial picture apologised publicly within the same few days it was posted. I am not part of SAB team. The person who posted in initial controversial pic is actually a nice person , i was defending him on the net after he apologised. Several members in the community also gave care and concern to him. I witness some level of cult like cyber bullying. So I decided to support SAB ever-since by buying all their products. SAB has never once under-deliver in performance and quality to any of the consumers. You will be surprised some of the sabotaging things done by some local Caliburn fans did in the local community such as buying SAB, swap SAB with non SAB internals and selling them to kids to disappoint them. SAB reaches out to such resale consumers and swap back the internals for free. This is just one example. I would say SABRE had a rough journey and in darkness only faith guided the Maker.

Customs is customs. It's federal. Brass barrel may help, can experiment with additional delrin barrel nuts sold on their store but the pusher would not seal directly into the brass because its too tight for it.

300fps isn't easy with a longshot, but I'd suggest either the OMW kit which has an expanded plunger tube, or an Artifact/Worker kit. But the new Worker kit only takes retaliator diameter springs so you definitely want one that takes Longshot size springs. My personal preference would actually be a Caliburn or Lynx though.

Nice blaster but its very pricy but it is injection moulded which isn't cheap either. Looks very much like a caliburn, the main hardware components looks like it matches as well. Delrin is a little bit of a werid choice would have liked to have seen pa6 30% glass fiber (nylon) or polycarobnate with glass fiber. (Pa6 30% gf is the standard for power tools). The aluminium barrel look for 15.88x1.48 size usally comes under telyscopic and has a matching 12.7x1.6 thats a close fit inside it. This is the setup for my self made caliburn that makes a amazing air seal.

My only question is, when does the fps get TOO high? 320 is fantastic especially for a pump action springer, but cant you do just as well with something that hits 250? Understandably precision is most important and you get more laser beam like shots with the higher fps granting you less deviation as the dart peeters out.

Honestly to me it really depends on your group/event/field given some have different caps, or different amounts of cover like in my group our cap is 250fps with plenty of cover so we perfer using Talon Claws because the v4 variants can achieve that while being smaller than the Caliburn so it's easier to maneuver around cover/obstacles.

We play with a 300fps limit, though I know some places to play higher. I'd say that above 300fps though you'd want to have like a 30 metre minimum engagement distance or you will bruise people.

@@thehollowlingwin im thinking of it more logrithmically where the higher fps you go the less impact the advancement becomes (for a good analogy check out Moores law). I think the best way to say what im thinking is when does fps stop changing the deviation of X amount of shots at Y distance Better example is playing golf and youre puttting on a green that slopes down to the right and the hole is straight away. The harder you hit it the less of an impact the slope will have and the softer is the inverse being taken more by the hill. The question is at what point does that amount of force stop mattering where its insignificant?

I would be very concerned carrying that in public in the USA, it has a very military look. They need to produce it in brighter colors (e.g. red or orange or yellow or blue) to make it stand out as not a genuine firearm. At over $650 USD before shipping, and which no included grip, I wonder how many units they expect to sell? I already have a Caliburn in Yellow/Black (around $120), and CEDA S in Red/Black ($89), and an original CEDA with Alpha Kit upgrade ($69+$60), and a Dart Zone Nexus ($50) and an Aeon ($25), and plan to get two Dart Zone Pro Mk 2.0 pistols when they come out ($80 each) and combined those still only add up to $573, leaving me nearly $80 spare change. On my own property I can get around 100 foot maximum range before I have to "go public". What's the shortest range you'd want to get hit by one of these?

This just looks like a lazy team or cheapest design was used. If you can design a mould from the start make it look amazing and people wouldn't mind the price as it's sporting good at this level,and far from a toy. But it's just an oblong.
