Dear I highly recommend just going for it. If you have a "stuffy" office job that cares too much about hair color, do a peekaboo! I've been doing peekaboo colors longer than I can remember but only because I'm indecisive. I just braid and tuck the colored part of I need to hide it for any reason. For those of us who love getting dye on our faces--I dyed my hair red yesterday and got it all over my forehead. On a whim, I put on a hyaluronic acid face mask while I waited for my hair to dry, and the color came right off. Self care and clean up all in one!

I tend to bei messy when I dye my hair, it helps me to use Vaseline or coconut oil on my ears and forehead before I apply the color.makes it a lot easier to geht off.

I bleached my virgin hair a warm blonde a few days ago, but I watched alot of your bleaching fails and I learnt what NOT to do and started from the ends and left roots till last and is pretty much even out, my curls are still popping too and defined! So thank you! 😁😊💛🙏🏽

@@cpolt1192 Hehe. I spent a week watching alot of his videos etc and thought, "Ok, now I am ready" after 2 years and 6months worth of growing out my virgin hair. I have messed up alot in the past and dumped bleach at the roots first. So practise makes perfect. 😁👌🏽 Good luck if you are going to dye your hair. I hope it will come out great. 💜

I have had horrible bleach jobs twice at salons (one was a salon specializing in color!) tho, where I legit lost half my hair, so was not dealing with that again.

Removing blue really is a pain, but the only other color that covers the left in lifted orange, is red and orange - and I just escaped those colors. I went from red to platinum underneath and top layer lifted to orange. A certain salon left that as highlights instead of giving me the full platinum I wanted. I still hate it. I just wanted silver hair once in my life. Might have to wait until I’m old and grey. 🙃

I had to go dark blonde with blue tones for awhile, then I was able to go light blonde. I had red hair to start out with. And I did this WITHOUT a salon. The salon screwed up my hair from the start! I never wanted red/auburn.

I went from decades of red in my hair to sliver hair earlier this year. I used a colour stripper twice to get the red tones removed as much as possible then bleached twice. Then sliver dyed twice as well to get an even finish. It looked amazing! A lot of work getting those red tones out and bleach alone wouldn't have done anything for me haha!

Korilian I’m 31 and look 20... I’m cursed with youth and level 8 hair, which is sickeningly strong and healthy. I’m struggling to even it all out and I don’t trust salons anymore. I’m probably going Viking, so I have less hair to deal with and the rest will be an even, easy and healthy surface to lift to platinum. As long as I treat what I don’t shave off well, I can achieve my goal. It’s just a flipping process from hell. Pray I have the patience. 😆

for girl 2, i would’ve done the blue on the pre lightened, toned side and the pink on the fresh bleached side because the colour would come out more true toned. i agree with brad that it might’ve looked better having both sides the same but i think it was still a fun look and definitely unique :)

I sincerely regret not making a video. I split dyed my hair. 1/2 super purple 1/2 super blue. It looked FIRE for a long time too! Then the blue turned teal and I bleached it out. Now I’m rocking 1/2 platinum 1/2 super purple. Thanks Brad!

BRAD!!! I DYED MY FRIEND'S HAIR!!! She has a really long Mohawk, it's a strip in the middle with neck length hair (she keeps it down, not sticking up) and it's really thick and healthy. Anyways, she wanted it pink, darker at the top and lighter at the bottom and it looks SO GOOD!!! And I have you to thank for not having her hair fall off!!!

I have used so many products to try and get direct dye out of my hair. The only one that has ever worked is Color X Change Phase Out. That stuff is awesome! I have medium length hair, so I use 4 packets ($7 each on Amazon). You just have to make sure to really saturate your hair with it (I mean like dripping from your hair saturated). Directions say leave on overnight or 8 hours minimum, I do over night. Next day all the dye was gone! Even blue and red, which are the most difficult to get out.

@@vanityplates3125 it did no damage to my hair. There is no bleach or peroxide in it. After I rinsed it out, and washed and conditioned my hair, it looked great, and was not dry at all. I had several layers of blue, Phase Out got them all out. The only issue is that it come pack of granules that get mixed with 4oz of water, and you really need to saturate your hair with it. So, I bought 4 packs since my hair is about 3 inches past my shoulders. But, it's only $7 (on Amazon) so it wasn't too expensive.

Here’s a tip from someone who’s been coloring their hair fashion colors for a long long time (and doesn’t like the look of it on their skin): put Vaseline on your ears and your face (only where your hairline is), on your forearms as well (cover them!) and all around on your neck. Keep a washcloth with warm water and dandruff shampoo next to you to wipe away stuff as it gets on your skin while you’re applying the dye. (You can also use conditioner if you don’t like Vaseline but it doesn’t cover as well), wear gloves, and wash the Vaseline away with soap after you’ve rinsed the color from your hair …You’re welcome! 😇

If you don’t have Vaseline, you can use your deodorant stick - I’ve done it plenty of times, works every time! I suggest the clear stick kind though, not white/powder stick.
