What I mean with that is that he takes his time and teaches how to do hair step by step. He explains how to do hair with useful tips in simplifying techniques so that we as viewers can follow and recreate it. There’s too many KZbinrs that use the fast paced videos and I don’t consider does tutorials. The wild thing is I never knew how to really categorize my natural wave pattern because it is very much like the results of the third technique naturally. There will be some days where my hair dries more on the curly side, but it is not considered a "curl", and others where it dries more in a soft, but defined wave pattern. I am so happy to now know how to achieve a similar wave pattern with a flat iron, so I can use it on days when my hair dries crazy - to give me that cohesive, put together, yet natural look. ( sometimes one side will dry more on the curly side while the other side will dry more wavy, sometimes my face frame pieces will dry in a flat and weird wave pattern turning inward towards my face while the rest of my hair dried in a beautiful natural wave, and there are sometimes when my hair just dries into a crazy, weird lion's mane that is all over the place)

I am one of those people who will try something, fail, then give up. That's what I did the first time I tried to wave my hair with a flat iron after watching this. But today I came back to the video, and practiced doing it along with the video. I could go back and do it again until I figured it out. I think a lot of people want easy instant results, but it DOES get easier with practice. I figured it out, and my hair looks cute! Thank you for simplifying it for me. :)

I'm useless with hair tools. I just did a Wella home perm on large ( you need the orange ones) perm rollers & got the beach wave effect. I don't need to style it or blow dry, I just run my fingers thru it & it looks like a natural wave. Wish I'd done it years ago.

Or... make regular curls (take bigger sections) and brush them with wide comb before spraying with hair spray. Works like a charm and even when they flatten a bit they still look **amazing** Also, I get this kind of waves with braids... I braid my hair in 2 french braids right after shower (you need to dry your hair like 85-90%) and sleep with them. You’ll get great waves :3 to make them last, put tiny bit of hair gel in your hair before braiding it 😉

You’re so lucky. I was the same but at the age of 50 my red is fading out with silver. I went through a phase of dying it back to red. It will work with a square one, depending on how thick (1inch, 2inch etc) the straightener is can make it looser or tighter

My hair just straightens and I'm lucky if I get a tiny wave on my ends...or just one end...haha! I can't use a curling iron either. I end up pulling my hair out, but I do have a really crappy curling iron. My flat iron is great though! I can't make my wrists do what your wrists do! I'm broken with no waves. But I'm still happy.
