Im half way through doing this on 2007 1098. I swear the ducati tool is different, its a 90 degree tool with 2 pins. Thanks for posting this video, I will measure how much play it has each way.

Thanks for this. I had one go on my 1100 Evo five years ago - so probably due for another about now! Not a bad job, but the bit I hate the most is removing all that Threebond from the crankcase surfaces! 🤬

yes, de-gooping the threebond does suck royally.

This one bit my arse six or so years ago after rebuilding my 1198 engine. Torqued that M8 bolt (bulletin spec 34-38nm) and the case gave way at about 30ish. Not a thread left in the block day before trackday 🤣
