Gilesy says to go easy on Haaland. Pretty sure I remember him and Dunphy used to give Ronaldo and Berbatov huge flak for not tracking back, even when they were scoring loads of goals.

Such a one horse league. Arsenal in 5th gear for most of the season still can't catch a MC side that looked like they were barely out of 2nd gear all season. This so-called "competitive" league is anything but.

With the amount they've spent on transfers would you expect them to win the UCL more often?

And they were fortunate to win it last year when they did. Inter matched them in that game, they were unfortunate to lose.

Dunphy is a Rice cheerleader. What difference did he make? Arsenal came 2nd just like last year and won nothing and you want him as player of the year? 😂 City won 4 in a row how is the league competitive? Klopp was a bully just like Fergy maybe worse.

Far from competitive - but that marketing men have convinced the subscribers that it is. The reality is that the gap between the top teams and the bottom teams has never, ever been as wide over the last 7 years than it has been during any other 7-year spell in the past.

Completely agree, it’s all marketing. There’s no true competition in the league, the odd shock here and there, but when you already know who’s going to win at the start of the year and with 115 charges over their head unanswered, well then there’s a major issue.

@@Patrick-sheen True. And over the last 7 years, the gap between the top teams and the bottom teams has NEVER been wider during any previous 7-year spell. Yet the subscribers keep swallowing the marketing of the "competitive" spin.

Financial doping is cheating, without the finances you don’t have the squad or the manager. It’s also highly questionable if City are the best team in Premiership history…theres no one to even challenge them. The league is overinflated in terms of value and it shows at European level. Many of the so called big teams fell badly in Europe this year in games that were supposedly east to win. It’s the usual propaganda of the premiership is the greatest but the results, and often the entertainment value don’t show that. Liverpool huffed and puffed but the Atalanta game showed up all their weaknesses. Arsenal are far from the finished product. They’re a hundred miles away from the great Wenger teams. There was far greater competition between Wenger and Ferguson and later with the Mourinho teams than there is now.

City have bought well. How many players have we bought that have been duds? Not many. That's the skill of the coaching staff and scouts, to choose players that will fit the style Pep wants.

there is no argument that city aren't a great side, the problem is that the cheated like a whore on steroids. without city cheating arsenal would have 2 titles and liverpool would have 3 titles. the people out there building up city and conveniently forgetting the cheating is really funny. imagine if united had 115 charges for cheating.

@@Patrick-sheen Yeah, like no other club has spent any money. And in the 90's the likes of Utd and LFC never spent more than City, did they? And them buying players for massive fees didn't help push up the cost of players, eh? Football history didn't start with the take over of City, pal!
