I never knew that the contact alone is what refs are expected to make a decision on. I thought it would be the entire event, including how the foul initiated. To me, the slip was a major enough factor to not deem it.a red, but then the ref can't use that reasoning. It's stuff like this that should be communicated clearly to viewers at the time, because I was thinking that's a poor refereeing decision, but it's actually arguably a perfectly made refereeing decision.
@happilyeggs4627Ай бұрын
The PL have repealed the red card on review.
@arimalaАй бұрын
The thing is, you can slip and still make a dangerous play that deserves a red. VAR let everyone down.. all they had to do is say, "Hey the contact wasn't quite as bad as what you think you saw, you should take another look at it." Its that silly "clear and obvious error" terminology getting in the way again.

The other 25% are smaller, with Fulham’s Craven Cottage being by far the smallest. These are all FACTS. The STADIUM is bigger, but that should not scare the home players, that should be an advantage! These excuses are so silly, no one with some dignity and self respect would use this as excuses. I don’t that was the point in this example, but you actually hear it being used often enough.

Given that Man Utd are suffering a culture problem, this is Southgate's forte. The rebranding of the England team was phenomenal. MU won the FA cup, and they still suck. At this point, expecting MU to be consistently successful without a solid foundation is unreasonable. Bring in someone who's going to change the culture and knows how to rebuild. That said, I don't think Southgate is the right fit. But he's not the worst shout for what MU actually need right now.

It wouldn't be a bad idea to fold the club and sell off the assets to redevelop Wigan town centre. And gifting Utd a "Wembley of the North" is like 'putting a silk hat on a pig'. City are the only EPL team worth watching in Manchester. I blame the fans. Their consistent, unwarranted support perpetuates the myth that Utd are a great club. If ETH goes, then Gareth Southgate should be put in to oversee the team during the wind-up process. The players can all be sold to Saudi over the next two windows with monies then being used to repair the bus shelter near the library in Oldham town centre. Possibly some clean toilets in Piccadilly Gardens could be commissioned too, should the Saudis start throwing stupid money around. I would recommend the transfer fees be used to build a statue for Sir Bobby, but it would barely cover the costs for the planning application.
