the nfl has plenty of parity. the problem that's leading to a crappier product is the nfl constantly changing rules that unfairly favor offenses and defenses get penalized for every freaking thing to the point you mine as well not have a defense out on the field. add on top of that that the referees are garbage and inconsistent with callling penalties which leads to the slowing of the game because every play there's a penalty and then suddenly they'll just stop calling stuff they were calling or they won't call stuff all game and then suddenly throw a flag when they shouldn't be. the refs get too damn involved to the point it kills the flow of the game on top of the annoying tv time outs. i want to watch football not goddamn commercials. stop changing rules for the sake of changin them unless the rule change is actually necessary.
@CBrown23 сағат бұрын
The problem is QB salaries. The teams that have an QB that is actually worth the money they are paid are actually good (Baltimore, Buffalo, Kansas City, Philadelphia) and many of the ones who overlaid their QBs are pretty much trash (Jacksonville, Cleveland, New York, Dallas). The ones in between, like the Chargers fill the same box as the trash teams: If you werent paying the QB that much you might be able to afford better defenders, receivers, offensive linemen, etc. But they get trapped by these stupid contracts and end up with guys holding out, leaving, or otherwise missing on free agency. It doesnt help that feelings get in the way of coaching.

@michaelpeterson373619 сағат бұрын
There is parity in the league.The salary cap itself ensures a level of parity. I think the problem is a lack of good coaching and dysfunctional organizations. The Cleveland browns had a super bowl roster for like five seasons and couldn't capitalize.
@samuelsandate98047 сағат бұрын
The salary cap doesn't ensure parity you bozo. Salaries don't mean crap if players don't live up to their contracts, period. Yes, lack of coaching, lack of players developing is a problem and it will always be because that's the nature of the sport. The salary cap doesn't fix that. All sports has good teams, bad teams and midteams. Again is the nature of the sport.

I’ve been saying for a decade they need less games ! Both the nba and nfl need less games. All you do is create meaningless games by increasing the amount. Put the nba regular season at 50 games and the NFL at 14-15 games and every game has a ton on the line. It would never happen because of money, but the games would be way more intense and entertaining

I don't think it's a lack of parity. I think it's the sense that it feels like you can't play defense anymore on the QB like you used to AND the feeling by many that the NFL may be helping the Chiefs to a degree try to 3peat and crown a new GOAT in Mahomes. We all know that if Mahomes does 3peat, he's the new GOAT & many (especially Brady fans) don't like that one bit. Idk if he is talking aesthetic, atmosphere, or fantasy...but he sure as hell ain't talking about quality of play. There is a reason most the QBs can't even dream of being in the NFL. And then to say there is no parity in a league where the Commanders, Chargers, and Broncos all just flipped their contention status. Where you average SIX new playoff teams a year? Where the Panthers almost had a walk off victory against the hottest team in the league with a QB that was benched earlier in the season?? Stop 🙄
