what is the oil you used?

​@@muratknal6007 he used plain mineral oil you can get from Amazon. Mineral oil is good if you think you'll put food in it. If it's only decorative or say for keys and wallet, I'd use Danish oil for more protection.

Ive been power carving. I glued scraps together then carve the bowl. I like the style of that one. Im probably gonna coppy it a bit. I bought a chainsaw mill and got carried away making 3 inch slabs. Piles of walnut, oak ,maple ,ash cherry and many others. Good work man.

Beautiful bowl! I'm very interested in power carving and I found your video instructional and inspiring. I just finished a 3 day woodturning class and I loved it but I'll have to wait a while before I can get a lathe. I've been looking into power carving as something I could do in the meantime since it doesn't take up a lot of space and can be done without large woodworking machines. Thanks for your video!

I love power carving but can't stand the mess. I typically use a forestner bit to remove majority of the wood, then connect and contour to shape using only a medium kutzall. A little cleaner but a lot faster. Thanks for the video.

Man, im glad to see someone have the same reaction to the aggressive disc. I recently bought both of those discs, and when i started uaing the aggressive one, i was shocked. Kept trying to rip it out of my hand. I haven't touched it since 🤣

I'm in my third year of carving/bowl making. I have a set of those fine finish shapers out of china, i use oven cleaner to get the wood grit out every 4 hours. Otherwise those are great

I got a few power carving disks for Christmas this past year and have been so excited to use them but I DO know that I’ll be doing it outside given the videos I’ve seen already. Love the way this turned out aa walnut is my FAVORITE wood species!

Try the arbortech grinding discs. They leave a good finish and are easy to use.

Have you used chain say in any projects in order to speed the early steps. Does some one manuf a small electric chain saw .?

Whrn power carving I use one of those rubber non slip weave mats on my bench, no need to glue your work down. Also works well when freehand carving designs with my router.

Nice work..! Always wanted to try power carving. On my cutting boards etc I use Watco butcher block oil, usally a couple coats with a scuff in between. Then use a beeswax butter I make & buff out.

Get the Kutzall shaping “Disc” and “Dish” 1 of each. I prefer the extreme over the original ones. I am literally collecting all of them because they are that good. The disc hard shape is great for flattening and leveling mor3 the dish I have used to hog out with the higher walls and is better for contours.

Great work! If you used a plug in angle grinder it would be quicker opposed to the battery powered, regardless of the wheel.

It looks like you were getting kickback because you were move it the wrong way. Bits like that require you to move the same direction as the bit. So only move in counter clockwise directions.

you just dont know how to use the agressive one... you can only use it on the side that pulls the grinder away from you... so the shavings shoot straight at you... then it wont bite in and hook up... also take the extra handle off of it, thats screwing you too.... use both hands on the barreland make the grinder wanna pull away from you and eject shavings toward you... then youll love the aggressive wheel.... also orient yourself so the part your cutting on is sloping up away from you... so the grinder wats to travel uphill... if you try to cut downhill its also a lot grabbier...
