Hey thanks for dropping those kind and encouraging words! Great to connect with you. I highly recommend the book Stick & Rudder for a really fascinating explanation of the airplane and how it flies. It will help jump-start your understanding tremendously.

@@BradySkye hey, so im reading the book and its great. I was wondering, if i can ask, do you know any flight simulator where i could train all of these things before i would get to flight school? I dont think that my notebook would run microsoft flight simulator but any less demanding on graphic. Even just with one small plane. Thanks and have a blessed day

@ 7:09 One thing I learned transitioning from one single-engine type to another (PA-22 to PA-18) was keeping it level with the horizon by looking over the nose wasn't the most reliable way of telling your pitch angle because it's a different view for every aircraft type. Better idea - especially in a high-wing - can be to look out at either wing and see if the bottom surface and the horizon are parallel, then adjust power setting and trim as needed to correct. Over-the-nose view once this is done can be a second check for quick reference rest of the flight, remembering that wing bottom angle is still the best for positive verification.

I helped my father rebuild a Taylorcraft bc12d in the mid-1960s. He decided to try covering it with fiberglass fabric. It took forever to seal the pinholes. When he got the aircraft flying, it acted like a glider and would float in ground effect forever. A few times the tower controller called to ask if he intended to land.

Thanks Paul! I need to make a video on this camera setup. That just sparked that idea. That camera shot is done with an aluminum pole mounted to the struts and a GoPro Hero Max (360 cam) on the end of it. Pretty wild stuff.

I think she might be more comfortable if you took her up in a 182. It would feel a little more substantial for her. I know my Girlfriend feels a lot more comfortable in the 182 compared to a Cub. We do a lot more flying in the 182 as a result. She says it just feels safer to her. But awesome video and really neat to see you guys sharing the experience! CAVU!
