I just started shooting 35mm film again. Especially B&W. I even bought 3 cameras that I started my photography career over 35 years ago.

You gotta be brave to stay with film. The artistry in the images is both organic and sophisticated. Nicely done. My last medium format camera was a nice Pentax 645nII. But digital photography took away a lot of the anxiety for me. Love the video.

So many great photos! You seem relaxed and like you're enjoying the shoot, unlike so many wedding photographers who seem to be struggling tjust to get through the gig. Cheers

Really appreciate that Dan. It was definitely a fun one. I find when you have a good team and a fun couple (or model), it makes it more if a good collaboration vs ‘work’.

Hi do you have anymore videos on using a hand held light meter on weddings or portraits in general? Watched your one on the beach with a model and was wondering if you have anymore. Also did you have to edit these photos much like brighten them up in post or do they come out great straight out of camera using a hand held light meter. Thanks.

This is such a great video! I loved it! You mentioned you were shooting Portra 800 inside because gives you neutral tons, but how do you rate it to get to that? I usually rate it to 400, but my tons are much more orange than yours. Any tips? Btw, I am an avid listener of your podcast. I love all the resources you put out there. Thank you!
@BraedonFlynn5 жыл бұрын
So fun to hear you're listening to the podcast. I'm having fun doing it all. Tips for P-800. The orange you're getting is probably coming from lights that are on. Unless they are 'daylight' balanced lights - looking more white than yellow, it's probably the reason your film is looking 'orange'. Even when shooting inside, I still try and be near window light - so I'm getting that natural 'daylight balance' of the film. Film is really sensitive to different colors of light. I typically rate my P800 at 640... Let me know if that helps or if you have other questions.

I think the cmaera description doesn't match with what you are using. Which camera are you using?
@BraedonFlynn8 ай бұрын
Looking through the description, you're correct. I was using the camera mentioned but I was also mainly using the Contax 645, which you can find here - filmsupply.club/collections/contax - it is the best medium format camera in my opinion.
@clarenceshelton51132 жыл бұрын
Hi Braedon, At this point in digital images are you still shooting film?
@BraedonFlynn2 жыл бұрын
Hi Clarence. I am still shooting film. Most every image on my website or Instagram was shot on film and I run a company called Film Supply Club - selling lots and lots of film to other photographers shooting it as well.

@@rawcamiel you could go wrong in the lab :-). (Looks like they are models) and the ph. is trying to be old fashion for the art sake. . Now a days its less cumbersome to work with the new cameras like the Z6. You get more productive in lest time and much cheaper. :-) How to go wrong with an awesome model: - LAB failure -Luck of personality afinity with the bride -luck of time -bridezilla -memory card - bad location - bride sickness Its many way that can go wrong.
