Buddy, i had the same problem on my Polo, the FFZ 020 had worn diff and diff bearings. I had weird steering sensations, lots of vibrations through the wheel. I overhauled the whole suspension to try and correct all this. Then I popped in a 9A gearbox from an 87 GTI and all my problems stopped. The Polo is insanely solid and stable now. And quiet. Pulls straight now. Must say, the FFZ had 270000km on it and it was really really worn out. Edit. Nevermind, I see you are running a fresh LSD.

Haha. Thanks for saving me the effort of telling you I've got a LSD. Pretty much everything was refreshed when we fit the diff. So I know it's not that. We just need to see what will make it a little more predictable. The LSD does move power to the wheel with the least amount of traction so it makes sense that it will be moving around. I just wasn't expecting it to be that aggressive. Lol.

If the rear axle still has its old rear axle bushes....try and get it too Andrê for Polly inserts or they mold it in the axle....makes a maassssive difference....on old bushes the rear axle is doing its own thing. So its like 4wheel steering....Front Control arms ..poly bush infront and if their is availability rear flat bush change too swivel pin. ..same reason. If they move under load..that is wheel alignment changing....causing car too pull...and i know it will drive me insane...our roads are very bumpy so on my car on a bumpy road under load it was always a issue...untill i did the rear axle in the hardest polly availible...new control arms.with new sligtly softer polly bushes...our roads suck...so going too hard on bushes infront is too harsh. impact must go somewhere not just the tyre and shock... On most Mk2 and allot of Vw,s with the Green powersteering bottle cap..they use 11s Green powersteerng fluid or FEBI Green powersteering fluid.....normal ATF makes the powersteering feel totally diffrent.if that is the case.... Car looks Amazing......

Appreciate you taking the effort to type all of that out. You might be onto something with the rear bushes. I had a feeling they were messing me around for a while. So it needs to be replaced. They are badly perished. Almost everything in front is poly now. So it's just the rear. The way the car moves around and follows the camber is very unverving. It's causing me to calm down a lot which is good but I need to get it sorted. I could hammer the car anywhere it was safe to do so but now I no longer have that confidence.

Alot of good suggestions, but important to first let new springs and top mounts settle in. Going toe in a bit may also help if non of the tips given doesnt help

Thanks Craig. Getting things to settle is probably a good idea as well. Before I go crazy and make too many changes too soon. I'll give it a bit of time. At the track tonight it was doing some things in 3rd but nothing wild. It was controllable. But there is room for improvement.

That steering rack is wonky but it works for now. Sorry for no video last week. All my clips had no audio 🤦🏽‍♂️ Still not sure how that happened.

Try different wheel/tires in the front had similar issues before...To much preload on the coilovers can also cause the car to move around at speed.

I've been advised to change the wheels and rule that out. Thanks for the input. I'm changing my tyres next week. Hopeully it's just that....
