I always use to wonder, Why are we not trying to build our own superhero universe? I mean Hinduism can provide billions of storylines. Mukesh Khanna tried it in Shaktiman, on a small scale I know, but he completely nailed it. And then I heard of Brahmastra! Of course, I have seen Marvel movies with marvelous VFX and that actually raised my expectations. And now, when I watched the trailer... damn, they did an amazing job.

For those who don't know what is brahmastra - Brahmastra was a weapon like nuclear weapon at Mahabharata and ramayana times , which can fully destroy all humans , animals and plants of a particular area . Only ashvthama used this weapon at the end of Mahabharata , but shree krishna stopped it . It was morally restricted to use this weapon in any war .

Brahmastra is basically spiritual Astra. Not physically visible coz there were mantra chanted to activate the Astra. It was said that a blade of grass was plucked and with mantra chanting converted into Brahmastra during the fight between Ashwatthama and Arjuna when Ashwatthama comes to avenge the death of his father Drona. To know who these characters are, you can either read Mahabharat or watch any of the animated Stories or serials on Ashwatthama or even read on Wikipedia. There is even a section in Wikipedia on Brahmastra (not the movie, but the weapon itself) 😀

Brahmastra is like a nuclear weapon. Once dropped, there's no way to stop it and once launched, it will hit the target at any cost. It has the capacity to destroy all life from earth. Ashwathama used it after war in Mahabharata but Krishna stopped it and cursed him with immortality and took his gemstone which was basically the source of his power.

Wdym finally? They literally started working on it 8 years ago. And since they had limited resources and limited budget, and something like this was done for the FIRST time, it's obvious for them to take time. So yeah it's not finally thingy, they thought of doing it same time when Avengers were becoming popular, when things were still young for cinema and people were not used to see such things.

It would be unfair to compare vfx of this movie with marvel or some other Hollywood stuff. Movies of such genre and scale in USA are made on a minimum budget of 100-150 Million USD. This movie is made on a budget of 300 cr rupees, which is just 38 Million USD. Considering the budget i think the vfx is damn good. I really hope this movie surprises us with it's storyline and screenplay.

I have seen people calling mouni roy as 'sasti scarlet witch'(cheap scarlet witch). Criticism for bad acting, story, dialogues is always valid but it makes no sense in comparing the vfx with marvel.

Ayan Mukherjee said that it is also a love story. It is a trilogy and the first part of named as Brahmastra Part 1: Love. But they changed it to Part 1 Shiva. I am so excited about this movie. I have always believed that India is a land stories and always wondered why we don't do anything related to our scriptures. I am glad we are finally taking a leap of faith. I will definitely watch this film.

I wish Brahmastra would beat all Pan Indian records created by Bahubali 2. Though I'm a Telugu audience, I still want Brahmastra to become a Blockbuster. Because it seems that the team really worked hard. It's not about how much budget you spent. It's all about story telling and mesmerizing audiences. Ayan Mukerji and Ranbeer are a deadly combo. I wish they would repeat the magic again. I have watched a number of Ranbeer's movies. Rockstar, Burfi, Yejavani hai Divani....so on... After watching the Brahmastra trailer, I felt like watching this movie in the theater on the first day......Waiting

BB was done with 250cr while this is 300cr for only part one 😂😂 BB had a good script for both parts. The VFX are crap here in the trailer.... I've high standard for VFX. The trailer is a total letdown for me.....It wasn't a good trailer at all 💯

@@mr.dripwoo5435 I don't agree. As a Telugu audience I knew what kind of average script was BB 1 and 2. Those kinds of stories we read a lot in childhood. BB became a super hit because such a kind of grandeur and story was not told by any director before. VFX is the major success factor for the BB. Nothing is there in the script. Very old, average story. The way the director narrated the story and created a world wide interest on BB2 by just leaving a question mark "why kattappa killed BB" is the brilliance of the director. Anyways, RRR is not upto the mark from Rajamouli. Those stunts in climax and Charan entry are hilarious. Poor. Very poor. Still RRR made good collections bcz of marketing. CR 300 collection is not a big deal for this movie I feel. Bcz, Ranbeer's movie can easily collect cr 100 in Bollywood. If the movie would be really good, you know what the range of collections can be. RRR and KGF2 already proved how far numbers can go if there is content. Let's see. Bollywood is really in need of Blockbuster. I hope Brahmastra will fulfill the same.

The way I see it is that Bhramastra is the lord of all weapons and elements the Shiva is just the first element: Fire, played by Ranbir Kapoor and even the title says part 1: Fire; so it could be safe to say that all elements could have its own movie in this saga with them ending in "The Rise of the Bhramastra" itself. It would be great to see an amazing Universe like the MCU, in Bollywood. Currently, we only have a long story divided into two parts, Parts one and two, but the story itself is the same.

If someone decides to portray ACTUAL Hindu history/mythology in the form of movies with such production level, I bet it won't take time for bollywood or any other Indian cinema to make it to global charts. There's just so much to portray with every concept of life. "dharme chaarthe cha kame cha mokshe cha bharatarshabha | yadihaasti tadanyatra yannehasti na tatkvachit ||" "Whatever is present here (in the Mahabharata) about the matters related to dharma, artha, kama and moksha, that alone is present in other texts, and that which is not mentioned here is not present elsewhere.” This verse just made me realise that yes, you question anything about life and there is something you will find about it in Bhagavad Geeta. The best part is there are stories to get inspired from too. Rn syntell is reacting to bahubali. That movie is completely inspired from Mahabharata.

The first 3 words which Amitabh Bachchan said was Jal(water), vayu(air), agni(fire). And this story is said to be released in series of 3 movies and in part 1 , the character of Ranbir (shiva) is agni astra (fire weapon) ... So I think that part 2 and 3 will be based on vayu astra (air weapon) and Jal astra (water weapon) ..... The whole Story might be like after these 3 astras ( weapons) comes together you can achieve Bhramaastra. This is my assumption from the trailer, it might be different in the movie though.

Lived up to the expectations for sure! Not only inside the characters of the film but it seems as if the entire nation has stood to make this ambitious project turn out into something unseen. This can be nothing except a pure passion to try something big. You have got probably the best set of actors for their respective genre, the best bg voices in the form of Amitabh Sir, Chiranjeevi Sir... As Dharma aka Karan is a bridge to promotions of great movies from South specially the ones of Rajamouli Sir in the North belt.... Now Rajamouli Sir associating with the vision of Ayan Sir. Alll these still have become normal. What's exceptional is the entrance of your, mine and almost every member's of this channel favourite Tushar Lall (remember the days when Tushar content and Jaby reactions were a better love story than Twi). Obviously the music score with Pritam Da and Abhijit and assistance of the soul of every heart Arijit da. Then Mouni Roy finally gets a biggie role that has its weight. I genuinely hope the stereotyping of her being just an item dance artist needs to be removed. Coz she is genuinely from a background of soap opera which knows acting on a daily scale. And, the Srk effect is definitely there for something huge. Just same like Ae Dil Hai Mushkil. Remember the posts of the action choreographer stories on Insta indicating 19-20 days shoot with him. So, so much is there to unravel and dive into... This is truly gonna be one of its kind. 💕

God knows I've been waiting so long for a film on Hindu mythology because there are so many amazing larger than life stories and superhero characters that are waiting to be explored! Brahmastra is finally taking the first leap! I hope this film works and lay the foundation for mang more movies like this based on our ancient past

I (just) want SRK to make a Superhero movie (in today's time - ie Ra One was quite some time ago now). It would be so amazing to see that. He and (his company) Red Chillies will kill in the vfx department. Considering how good and realistic they made fan and zero. Fan (and Zero) (double role CGI) even beat the double role CGI used in Captain America vs Captain America fight in AVENGERS ENDGAME (Proving that Bollywood/India can make great CGI too, which not just competes but even beats one of the highest budgeted (//and one of the most expensive// and one of the most important) Hollywood movies) (in ' 'double role (/'face swaping')' CGI' VFX category), where they dont get shadows (on the cap who is holding/choking the other cap) right and you can clearly see something is off when one cap holds other cap down on the ground by his neck.

My Theory: I believe that every element symbolize the trinity of Hinduism for example Shiva (protagonist) has the element of fire and we know that fire destroy things thus symbolising Shiva (god). So I think the water element is going to symbolise Brahma and the wind element is going to symbolise Vishnu. Title of the first part is 'Shiva' so it's mostly going to focus on the element of fire , now my guess is that the second movies is going to be titled Vishnu and focusing on element of wind

This is my first ever comment on any Bollywood movie trailer. First of all Congratulations to the entire team It is really good to see extremely talented and powerful artists (director/actor/production) all together in one movie. Its 7am in the 🇬🇧 UK and Being an artist myself I was too excited and was waiting with lots of expectations as these days reviews/ output of Bollywood movies are degrading and its really disheartening. Honestly speaking- first impression was okay mostly all the faces took the show then I watched it again & liked it as there are rare movies made before in this genre.But We did enjoyed TV shows like Shaktiman and Aryamaan - Brahmaand Ka Yodha before Marvel. So l am sure Indian audience will enjoy this movie and not just compare with Marvel and go critical.Well I watched it for third time and like it more and again the fourth time and felt like if this movie will hold a beautiful story ratherthen establishing the story first half and the actions second half as obvious predictions from the trailer and will show fusion of the background story and establishing the story together then it can be a roller coaster experience for the Indian audience and will bring goosebumps and it will be a hit & The movie is going to be better then the trailer thats what I felt after watching it for fifth time . @imouniroy @aliaabhatt outstanding as always & Ranbir knows his craft very well which shows in all of his performances and thats the reason why I love his movies And with the legends @amitabhbachchan Sir and @akkineni__nagarjuna Sir Alone with the amazing Director/VFX and @dharmamovies This Trailer is giving a real good Hope.Once again lots of love from England 🇬🇧💐

Well no one was bothered when Pushpa , RRR , KGF released with 50% of the movie in slow-motion. No one criticized the poor VFX in Animal escape scene neither during the Jail escape scene which was ridiculously Bad. No one bothered to point out anything bad during these movies and it felt like the movies are completely masterpiece with no fault. But now the slandering have started already by few intellectuals who have already compared it to a 1500 cr budget Marvel movie and are seeing Mouni Roy as Scarlett witch who wanted a TV actress to make it big in Bollywood or in cinema world. Why is Ranbir not wearing any Cape why is he shown as a normal Human ? People are questioning this as if this is not the origin story of the Hero here lol. The VFX looks stunning and will look way better in a Cinema hall but wait why not compare it to Marvel who have complete different scenarios in a movie and compare it with this where we see Lord Hanuman in one frame. Grow up kids.
