In $375 million defence deal, India will deliver BrahMos missiles to Philippines. Two heavy lifters of the IAF -- C-17 Globemaster transport aircraft will deliver the BrahMos missiles at the Clark International Airport in the Philippines. The BrahMos missile system is seen as a counter to the Chinese aggression and will be the first option of many South East Asian countries afraid of China’s Navy. This is also a push by the government of India and its renewed focus on defence exports to achieve self-sufficiency and its ‘Act East’ policy. With this Can India counter China? Baby steps 3 batteries to a u.s ally, & both Russia & India had to signoff. Egypt, Vietnam & others r keen for Tejas & other Indian systems, allied nations to India will qualify , but going forward I don't see the need to collaborate with Russia,India owns majority shares for brahmos but I think going 4ward we will see a fully Indian cruise missile just as potent as brahmos is.
