Brailee, make sure you look at fuel efficiency when you're looking at cars! You don't want to have to fill up more than necessary and spend more money, plus it's better for the environment! I just thought I'd mention it since jeeps and hummers are notoriously bad on gas! Also, Honda and Toyota are the most reliable cars, so less repairs and less money! My dad wouldn’t let us get a car until we learned to drive a stick shift. And I ended up loving it, my first car was a red fox body 80s mustang. Then I got a 72 skylark 350 V8. Both stick shifts. Loved it.

My daughter is learning automatic and then standard. My dad made me learn both and it was the best thing. We had to sell our Lexus during Covid and my only option was to drive an old standard. that’s my dads. I LOVE it! I’m so glad I was able to drive that and not have to spend money on a car. People think it’s cool that I know how too 😂

I always find it funny when people talk about driving automatics over stick shift, here in the U.K. it’s super common to drive shift, very rare that automatic is preferred (although getting a bit more popular these days!) its not as scary as everyone thinks and only takes a few drives then it becomes second nature ☺️ (like riding a bike!)

In the U.K. it’s more normal to have a “stick” car than it is to have an automatic. So much so that my boyfriend thought it was funny you guys call it a stick car 😂😅 Here you either have a manual (stick) or an automatic. I drive a manual car ☺️
