You're probably thinking of Phil Fish. Braid was made by Jonathan Blow. Amazing game designer.

9/10 was maybe the right score at launch in 2008. The same game remastered can't get the same score or higher after 16 years. That's why they continue with remaster. Graphic was ok even in the original one.

That's an insanely stupid mindset. So, movies like Casablanca shouldn't be well reviewed because they're old? Picasso should be ignored because he died in the 70s? Have some respect for the medium you claim to enjoy. Art is art, and good art is timeless.

@@OKULTRACOMEDY if a game was a 9 years ago the same game can't be again a 9 but not because it s not more good. But because it s the same game, you ve yet seen that idea years before, it s no more a new concept...don't know if you understand me...art in this game was better when it was launched years ago compared to contemporary titles than this remaster in 2024 so even art is no more as beautiful as before at that time. It s not about timeless art what I m talking about. I ll make an example... Zelda a link to the past was a 9 at snes time. A remaster of that same game only in hd and with more colours can t be again a 9 in 2024. Otherwise Zelda tok is a 20/10...should be an 8... But not the same or higher score than in the past. A new braid with many new ideas and better art style should have been a 9. Hope you understand now..the truth is that new gamers have not played braid in 2008 so for them is a 9. Because it s a new product. But a professional reviewer have to think in a different way. I play from the age of 10, now i m 45...

The game is still a 9/10. The original rating is irrelevant. Just because something was released a long time ago doesnt mean that it has negatively impacted the game. It can happen to some games sure but not all of them. Also your example doesnt work. Totk and Lttp can both have the same rating, they are very different games and appeal in different ways.
