I'll be 47 this yr. I've been braiding micros since i was 14 yrs old synthetic and human. My hair in my pic on my thumbnail is human hair micros i believe but my point is now i can't do multiple ppls hair a week anymore even if i do it in marathon because i have mild carpal tunnel and my hands loc up on me. I am actually about to start some micro twist like in the video with human hair I've colored burgundy. Thank you for this upload. I truly appreciate you.

I love your installs!! Do you have any clients with aged microloc extentions? I want to see how they age and look over time!

I installed braid locs myself because of you ❤🎉 took me forever and even did a grid, though probably not as great as having someone do it but pretty damn good ... i like it. Still figuring out if i love it. I think i will when it's longer and heavier. It's pretty light. But I'm going on the journey taking it day by day. Just did my first whole-head retightening. 200+ locs took me 15 hours 😂. Think I can do it in half that time though 😂 eventually. Anyways. I am enjoying the ease of it at least and not wearing wigs or having to do my own hair much. I have very fine hair, so that's my only concern.. I had a few fall out in the front.

Your videos are so informative! How do you decide what starter method to use(braids or twists)? I have 4b-4c, medium to coarse, high density hair and figure braids would be good bc I like the lower frizz and uniformity as they mature.

Question unrelated to this video. Do you ever start an interloc from tip to root? I havent seen any videos of this method being used recently, i only see braids and twist that you then interloc.

This was so therapeutic to watch for me. I braid hair and one of my clients wants to start her locs but this will be my first time doing them this small. I was worried about my patience but you saying you split the days up is very helpful. I also noticed that you didn’t do the Bantu knots this time, do you find it easier not to at the end when you have to spray them?

Hey there! I absolutely love your work and have been doing extensive research on your page and others before I proceed with DIYing my own micro locs (b/c 😂 sis you are just too far away). And I am going to apologize for the long message in advance, but you have earned my trust and I would really like your help on this matter! Soo, prior to watching several of your videos I had already ordered 12in hair from QVR (because they were having a sale), and I didn’t realize that you primarily use 16ins in most of your installs. My current hair isn’t long but with being stretched the back is at my lower neck and the sides meet there as well. My hair has been loc’d before but I combed them out because the chick rushed my parting. My question is “will the hair be too short to give me additional length? Or can I begin to feed in the extensions a bit further down the shaft to still obtain the length and curly ends I would like?” Info to maybe help with your answer: I have thick 4C hair, and have been braiding for years (since I was a kid) my own and clients, and I have level 3 cosmetology school experience (but left due to racial reasons). I kept my last set of mini twists in for like 3 months and never lost any (but I did start feeding the synthetic Marley hair at the roots. Do you think I could pull off adding in the hair about an inch or 2 down from the root to still achieve the length or would you not risk it. I don’t have a blunt cut, not sure if you think that might matter. Thanks in advance ❤❤ @shardelhaden

Hi there! I have so many questions for you. My hair is type 4, high density with fine strands I believe. I like the neatness and the security of braidlocs so I want to do those with extensions, but I want to combat the flatter appearance of my hair as well and have some more volume. Do braidlocs get thicker with time and do you think the more locs on my head the thicker my hair will appear? I also want my locs to be a little long. My hair is a little past my shoulders and I think I want them bra strap length/mid back. Would the feed in method still be effective for me? And would you suggest feeding in hair towards the end of the braid for more length?

Are the QVR strands longer or in pieces like some Afro bulk brands??
@TheBrittneyWilcox5 ай бұрын
Longer and stronger honey, I love using QVR hair especially for that reason alone.
@psl44825 ай бұрын
Yes, strands are longer and the best thing to do is have the hair wet when you pulling strands from the hair.
