FINALLY someone who mentions doing the knots underneath the braid! Moved to Dallas a while ago and braiders out here do these big visible knots and I don’t like that look compared to braiders I’ve gone to on the east coast who do them underneath. Are you splitting your hair in three sections to start the braid or two? You are going so fast I can't see how you are doing it. Can you please do a video showing how you attach the hair at the root and how you are preparing the synthetic hair? If you do a close up and go slow. I love this look. To me it looks just as good as knotless. And if I can figure out hot to do it on my own hair, I can make sure I am not doing it to tight. So I am not ripping out my edges like the Africans do. Okay so I’ve been wanting to do braids this size for the longest! But my issue is I don’t want the braids to end up being too much hair where I can’t make a ponytail or a bun easily. Is there a way I can’t fix that but still have full looking braids?

Yes! Divid your hair into 4 even sections then try using one pack per section. I did this the first time I braided my hair and it was perfect. Also don’t use more hair that you have on your head... if that make sense. Think about the density of your hair first and match that when using the weave

MsLeelee94 yes starting in the front is better. We all get tired and this isn’t a short process. I wouldn’t say that the part needs to be bigger necessarily just make sure you match the braiding hair to the amount of hair you have in that section

I redo my edges every 4 weeks and wash my scalp as needed. I use diluted shampoo in a spray bottle when I wash my hair. Add peppermint oil to the shampoo so that my scalp get really clean. I also use diluted conditioner to spray on my hair when I'm done.
